Hi Shelby and of course others,

I get the digest so it takes a while to get any messages.

You can go to www.ivillage.com or www.fatflush.com to read up on what it does. Beside buy her book which is called The Fat Flush Plan along with its cookbook by Ann Louise Gittleman. (I thought I would forever be on meds so this plan works for me and my spouse who has glycemia) We have lost inches so its a good idea to be measured before you start. I know that we went on it for my fibromyalgia since we will be moving in less then a year to Quemado, New Mexico which is near the AZ border on Route 60. (45 miles from Dr. Ian Shillington) The closest hospital as far as I know is over 100 miles away. I drink about 1 gal of unsweetened cranberry juice ( I dilute it even more due to the high acid in it. so my mixture is 1/3 C to 28oz of water) that is unsweetened and concentrated... (bought at the health food stores for $6.99 32oz bottle.) you mix it with 4oz of juice concentrated to 28oz of water to make the drink you take all day. (I know Trader Joe sells this to but I have never bought it there. I will check this out when we go to Phoenix this weekend) We eat fresh fruits, lots of veggies and 4oz of meat for lunch and 4oz of meat for dinner... Ann Louise Gittleman, M.S., C.N.S. explains how you can clean you veggies and meats with 1 tsp of Clorox to 1 gal of water which was Dr. Parcells' food bath. Clorox when broken down in water turns to salt and water not like the chlorine that is the chemical disinfectant added to drinking water, which as been linked to heart disease and cancer. Most of what she says I noticed was to relieve the stress we put on our livers. The recipes for detoxing was so close to what is in our files here in Herbal Remedies.

The only sugar we use is Stevia found at the health food stores. It will not raise your glycemic levels making it safe for those that suffer from glycemia. I find it hard to eat what they make in the health food store since it has yeast which can make those sensitive to it ill!

This portion is straight from her book Fat Flush Plan.;

What The Fat Flush Plan does when fat is not fat. (page 27)

The fat flush Plan targets water retention from the very first day. The cranberry juice and water beverage that you will drink throughout the day is phase 1 is a powerful diuretic. Arbutin, an active ingredient of cranberries, pulls water out to be eliminated through your kidneys. At the same time, cranberry juice works on cellulite because, as you now know, the flavornoids in the fruit improve the strength and integrity of connective tissue and help keep your lymphatic system working smoothly.

Drinking 64oz of cran-water (in phase 1) and 28 oz of plan water (in phases 2 and 3) will ensure that your kidneys and lymphatic system have the fluid they need to work properly to remove the wastes and fat. Ideally, water should be filtered and noncarbonated. Water helps rid the body of waste, keeps tissues moist and lubricated, and may even help burn calories. The hot water with lemon juice you'll drink thought the plan gives your kidneys another boost with lemon's diuretic action. And even the Fat Flush Plan exercise regime, bases on the minibouncer and brisk walking, has been designed to strengthen your lymphatic system and help rid your body of cellulite.

The plan's Long Life Cocktail, a blend of diluted cranberry juice and either psyllium or ground flaxseed taken twice a day swings a one-two punch of its won. Flaxseed is one of the richest sources of phytoestrogenic lignans. By binding the estrogen receptors and interfering with enzymes that convert various hormones to estrogen, flaxseed may help control estrogen dominance and the resulting water retention and weight gain.

In fact, many midlife woman report that flaxseed and GLA components of the plan act as a nature hormone therapy, reducing hot flashes, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and tissue dryness without the side effects of fat promoting synthetic estrogens and progestin's. Etc, Etc. I mean this is a great plan with lots of information that anyone even kids can benefit from!

Below are so sites for recipes of this plan too...do check it out... we found this out through our neighbor who was tired of feeling just that tired and run down. I am on various supplements for which has made me feel so much better... (I did have a horrible headache from stopping my meds and sugar all at once for about 2 weeks)

www.jackmaryetc.com/kitchen.htm This gives you recipes that are just great with flaxseeds.
