Guest guest
Dear One, Saw the question about nosebleeds and thought you might try these pressure points and see if they help. If they are needed they will be very tender. Also is the person cold on their hands and feet to the extreme. And are they trying to gain wt. and cannot? All of these seem to point to a spleen problem. I am not an MD--- just a self taught accupressure person. That said there are 4 points to try. The First one is located at the base of the skull on either side of center press and hold--or let the person lean into your fingers to their tolerance for 20 sec. The Second one is located on the left side only--Hook index finger as far up as you can get on the inside edge of rib cage near the bottom. The Third is found on the inner posterior aspect where the fibula/tibia meet to touch the patella-- again only on the left side. The Fourth located against the medial aspect of the foot-- press with the thumb against the metatarsal bones--in other words if the shoes you wear had a very long tounge it would come up to this place were the foot can flex upwards. This is also only on the left side. If you can do these 2-3 times a day and your hands and feet get warmer you are on the right track also if the nosebleeds stop!! If you have any problems with these descriptions please feel free to e mail me back with any questions. I wish my scannner was working but it is not. Guest guest
Holly, All bleeding , unless caused by injury , is caused by calcium deficiency in the body. Calcium is needed for the strength of all tissues including veins. His diet is the most important thing to look at here , as his calcium should be obtained from food sources.I am not talking alot of dairy here .It should be from fresh organic fruits , vegies and nuts , seeds. I would make Lemon Egg for him straightaway , and look into raw foods. He should also have Body Balance Plus ( to balance PH and arrest mineral loss) and Total Nutrition ( for Vits and Minerals). I can help with the diet if you want. To stop a nosebleed , have him raise his arms above his head and give as many drops of cayenne in warm water as he can stand. I handled my children's nose bleeds in this way. Guest guest
When my son was young 7 on up he has had really bad nose bleeds to the point it would be running out of his mouth and nose with clots the size of a half dollar coin it would terrify me without any warning even when not active this has happened on a regular basis thru the years he is 22 now.. he has a huge ball looking thing inside of his nose blocking one slde and abstructing his breathing has a problem breathing and it has made his nose protrude a bit on that side it's noticable. My question is do you think this could be a cyst? I think it is and if so how does he go about treating it without surgery which he is terrified of and will not go to a doctor or take any kind of meds. Holly, When my son was around 10-12 years old, this would happen to him too. He wasn't sick or anything, but suddenly, out of no where, his nose would open like a faucet and out would come lots of blood and clots. It would stop just as quickly as it began, but it was an awful lot of blood. He had about a 2 second warning that it was about to happen. He never had a headache or any other symptoms, and was very healthy. The doctor could find nothing wrong with him. It just stopped happening on it's own. I don't recall if it was happening during any particular season, but whatever it was, it never seemed to hurt him in any way, it just scared the Dickens out of me! Looking back, now I think it might have just been sinus mucus that was blocked somehow, and irritated his fragile sinus lining causing the blood and maybe it burst somehow, like a cyst would. Today, I would get a Neti pot and have him use it, but back then, I had him sniffing water into his nose to try to clean it out. It was just so erratic and unpredictable, we often forgot about it. I probably happened 6-7 times total over about two years. I wonder if it has anything to do with hormones, because that would be the age where the poltergeist moves into their bodies...... .....GGGGGGGRRRR RRRRRR!! I did not like the early teen years! LOL! Guest guest
Your son really needs to see a professional about this, if he has had it for 15 years and it is growing. It could be a cyst, but if it were, it should have gone away by now. Some people have fatty tumors or benign tumors all their lives and they don't cause any harm. This could be the case except the size is causing him problems. If he doesn't want to see a respiratory specialist, then suggest he contact and ND or herbalist. They would offer the least invasive help for him. Diane - mary johnson herbal remedies Thursday, September 10, 2009 2:48 PM Re: {Herbal Remedies} nosebleeds? Guest guest
Mary, If this is a cyst , it will respond to Black Walnut Hull. Is it situated close enough to the opening that you could use a small compress soaked in Black Walnut tea ? Guest guest
Thank you Diane for your response I will suggest this to him to at least get it checked out,see if it is and what kind of cyst. At this time due to being out of work and no insurance i'm sure he would take any suggestions on a herbal treatment (natural way). The only herbalist I know at this time would be Doc.I would appreciate any advice for a herbal treatment. So I took him to the hospital. He ended up needing some kind of antibotic or something which cleared it up. At the time he wasn't taking any vitamens and wasn't eating much vegetables. He's a very picky eater. He's been on a fruit and vegetable supplement (Juice +) now for probably six months or so. but even still sometimes he will still get bloody nose. Why does this happen? and how can I get it to stop? He craves fish, too. and also takes Omegas. thanks Holly V. LOL!
