Constipation can lead to a series of health problems, including bad breath, believe it or not. Perhaps an unclean colon too as well, I don't know.

I dated a man once with horrible teeth and bad breath. It is hard, but what are you supposed to say? ;)

I wish you good luck!

Kim,

It could be from a dental problem. A dental infection/bad tooth could cause bad breath.

Other than that I don't know really

[herbal remedies] Bad Breath

G'mornin everyone....I started going out with this guy recently. He's great. My daughter loves him, etc...Problem is. His BREATH!! I don't have the nerve to say anything to him right now. If it were my best friend for years I'd tell her in a second. I guess it's because we're still at the 'beginning' stages.Last night I was gonna put it gently "do you have a sinus infection or something?" lol...and if he asked why I asked, I was gonna bring it up. But alas, I don't even have the nerve to do that.He leads a semi clean lifestyle. He doesn't smoke, rarely drinks. He doesn't even drink coffee. At first I thought it was just a bad day, lol. But it's really ALL the time.I don't know what to do about it, aside from probably completely embarrassing him. Then I'm thinking, maybe I could make him dinner with like, lots of parsely or something, lol...or maybe slip in some acidiphilous. <lol, spike his drink with acidophilous>Any ideas on what this could be due to? I'd really like some input on some possible causes and remedies before I just jump in and say something to him about it.Thanks for any input.Kim

Dear Kim,

I know this is tough, and it shows that you are a caring person in not wanting to hurt his feelings, however you are doing him a diservice by not telling him. What happens if he is simply not aware of the problem and insults or offends his boss or one of his boss'es clients or . . . ???

Nawwwwwwww, honesty is the best policy here, and the greatest good for not only you but him as well.

Ya gotta face up to it and tell him. If he truly "likes" you, and respects you, he won't be insulted. Trust me.

Then once the subject is broached, you can find the cause and help him fix it. He'll love you for it.

Love,

Doc

PS. Then again, my father always said that I had the subtlety and finesse of a bowel movement. ROTFL
