Guest guest
Dear Aimee et al, I would try the packs and the castor oil first. The packs are messy but I know that cabbage works well for swelling. Bruise the leaves and wrap the breast it is the least messy of the choices the book gave. Castor oil will relieve the pain when applied anywhere. It takes a while to become a good nursing couple. Patience and practice makes perfect. The body will --if you are willing to wait, regulate itself due to demand. But if all else fails then try the herbs in small amounts at a time. I would try a 1/2 of a tea cup using 1/2 tsp parsley or sage and see what happens. Marshmallow root increases the milk supply so if it drops too low you have that to fall back on. How much and what type of liquids are you drinking? This may also have an effect on the supply. Are you going to be working outside the home soon? Try to relax and enjoy this time with the little one it ends too soon and they grow so fast. That sounds like such a cliché but mine are all grown 6' and 6'3!!! Its amazing cause I am the runt at 5"2!!! Happy trails, Kim / MSN 8 helps ELIMINATE E-MAIL VIRUSES. Get 2 months FREE*.
