[herbal remedies] Eyebright formula question- Doc

I just discovered in my notebook two different recipes for the Eyebright formula. The first reads 1 part (each) Eyebright, Red Rasberry leaf, Goldenseal Root, Rue Flower, Mullein Flower, Fennel Seed and 1/8th part Cayenne Pepper. The other reads ! part (each) Eyebright, Bayberry Bark, Red Rasberry, Goldenseal and 1/8 part part Cayenne then adding DMSO after it's pressed. Is the first for particular conditions? Thanks, Becky

The alcohol should be ethanol, vodka. YES!!! And the water should be distilled if you can get it or get the best filtered you can if distilled is not available.
