Wellllllllll, we're looking at effectiveness here. Not only of ability to draw the biochemicals out of an herb, but in using the best menstrum to do so. Which is the best catalyst to get the biochemicals into the blood stream is also a consideration.

ACV is relatively useless when it comes to hard roots or harder herb material. ACV is best with softer parts such as flowers or leaves or veggies.

Sometimes you can use either and even both.

Such is not the case with all the herbs of TT. ACV is best for this. You can make a great cayenne tincture using either ACV or alcohol, but with onions, you wanna use ACV only. Sooooooooo, in TT's case you wanna use ACV only.

Suprisingly, with Lobelia, you wanna use half 100 proof alcohol, and half ACV. You use both with this herb.

Love,

Doc

[herbal remedies] Suzi total tonic

Thanks Suzi & Doc, I was making other tinctures at the time, and I quess I just wasn't paying attention! You can tincture all herbs with vodka, can't ya? Now tell me why you wouldn't want to tincture the fresh ingredience with vodka (total tonic). KatheFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
