Guest guest
Lisa, in response to your question, has anything been upsetting... here is the response: Suzi It's a possibility, I guess...potty training is underway, but we didn't push it. She started nagging us about a potty chair after seeing other kids with them. And she's doing pretty well with the results. She's happy and well adjusted at daycare, and can't wait to see the other kids. Works and plays well with others. Mmmmm...I'm not buying a psychological component, at least not yet. She's set up to see a dermatologist. Hopefully we get more info then. Web Hosting - establish your business online
Guest guest
Suzi, the upset doesn't necessarily have to be WITH her - it can be anyone of the family fighting/arguing/upset with another family member: e.g. mum argues with dad, upset with in-laws, etc. Anything that the child is aware of as it's occurring in her presence. Just a thought. That is the usual trigger for any childhood disease. Guest guest
LOL! Potty training is a very stressful step for toddlers, and she is only 2. If she sees her friends not needing diapers this is an added stress too. Guest guest
Nothing different then they been using all along (don't know exactly but know there are no changes) as for the "upset" factor - my friend continued to write: Nah, it's all "peaches and cream" at home. No arguing amongst the parental units. The school thing...well, who knows? She seems to like it. Talks about the other kids in a positive manner, likes her teacher, too. I dunno. I'll keep you posted. Thanks. He has an apt with a dermatologist Friday so once we find out what it is... we can cure it.... if nothing else. Guest guest
Could this have anything to do with her daycare? Perhaps they are using something there that she's allergic to? Maybe hand soap, floor cleaner/wax, if they use blankets, what about the soap its washed in.... how about pest control companies coming in there when they are gone... Just some ideas I had. ----One fourth of what you eat keeps you alive. The rest keeps your doctor alive. - Suzanne Nottmeier herbal remedies Wednesday, March 12, 2003 12:28 PM [herbal remedies] 2 yr old with skin rash Lisa, in response to your question, has anything been upsetting... here is the response: Suzi It's a possibility, I guess...potty training is underway, but we didn't push it. Guest guest
Here are more of my friends comments... Suzi. I understand that it's stressful, but don't get the idea that we are forcing this on her. She's a "self-starter" on this issue. In most instances, we've taken our cue for each development step from Anna. We're very attentive and watch for the clues that she's ready for something new. And that's how potty training started. Thanks for the comment. Well, I've been there when poop happened, and they don't seem obsessive about the smell (but the facility is well ventilated). We thought about the antiseptic cleaner for the changing area, but the initial distribution seems to negate that connection, pluss they are now using a changing pad (disposable - actually an adult incontinence pad - great secondary usage - they should really market to the infant/toddler parent demographic). I dunno. It's still a puzzle. By the way, we think that the initial area is actually starting to look a little better. MD appt is tomorrow. More then.
