Guest guest
Hello, First, I want to let you all know that because I have Encredimail I can't reply from my emails. It messes things up somehow...so, any time I ask for help and you are gracious enough to answer, please know that I appreciate it very much even if I don't reply to it. With that, I would like to ask if anyone has heard of or has tried this stuff called Seasilver? My BIL was given one dose of it at a friends house and has been raving about it every since...and since he knows that I'm into this herbal stuff and trying to learn all about it, he asked me to do a search and I did. At my husbands request, I went to the store and bought two bottles, one for us and one for dear BIL. My husband and my 9 year old have been taking it for a couple of days and they have been eliminating what looks to be worms...(ain't never seen anything like it...not even in cats or dogs) It states on the bottle that it is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-parasitical, and anti-viral (I think). And, there's a whole bunch of other things that it's supposed to be good for... Let me know what any of you think, please.... Thanks very much ahead of time for any info. Guest guest
~~ I'm wondering if this could be a form of colloidal silver. I have some of that here that I bought when I heard it fought bacteria, viruses, fungus, etc. When my children start not to feel well, I tell them to take some ecchinacea and a dropperful of silver in some water. Has anyone ever heard anything bad about colloidal silver? We've never had any problems, but just wondering. ~~ Angel <anjewelhaze wrote: Hello,First, I want to let you all know that because I have Encredimail I can't reply from my emails. Guest guest
Firstly, if I'm not mistaken, this Sea Silver is MLM which makes the promotion of it off policy for this list. Secondly, the trouble with using "Sea Silver" or "Colloidal Silver" is that people use it as a bandaid without going to the "CAUSE" of the problem. A very minute amount of silver in the system is probably not toooo harmful and might even be somewhat beneficial (I'm talking about parts per billion or per trillion here), but most people try to use it as a "cure-all", and risk heavy metal toxicity over the long run. The long term, and residual effects of using large doses of silver have simply not been explored, and people use way toooooooooooooooo much of this stuff!!! One should be able to get all the silver they need from organic sea salt. The best out there is Light Grey Celtic Sea Salt by the Salt and Grain Society. Lastly, why use something as expensive as this when you can whup up your own batch of Total Tonic that not only does the same thing, but much more??? Why try to reinvent the wheel here??? Total Tonic is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-parasitical. Used with Echinacea and DMSO, you could probably recover from the plague or an Anthrax attack. Ya can't beat it!!! Guest guest
Dear Angel, Wellllllll, I certainly didn't mean to hurt your feelings on this, and I apologize if it seemed I was "slamming" you for this. It was not my intention. Please realize, that many on this list are "hard core" herbalists (natural healers) and that we are sensitive (you might say), to any MLM hype whatsoever. It has been our experience that ANY MLM product is simply not cracked up to what is hyped about. I don't know if I've gone over this before, but I'll explain it to you. #1. All MLM's claim to have a proprietary product that "only they have". This is far from the truth. As a matter of fact, there is not one MLM out there (and I've checked dozens of 'em) where I was able to not only duplicate their product and get it elsewhere, but could actually make a better version myself. There is not one MLM out there that makes products comparable to what you can make yourself from the recipes in the files. #2. Because of their money making schemes, their products are way over priced and as above usually of an inferior quality. IE. Twin Labs started (actually bought) an MLM company that was promoting CoQ10 as their flag ship product. I investigated this and found that NOW vitamins sold identically the same product from the same manufacturer at half the price. Yet according to the MLM this formula was proprietary = downright lie!!! #3. I've never known an MLM yet that did not promote their founder as being a second cousin to the archangel Gabriel and that these "founders" are philanthropists akin to Albert Schweitzer. This is not true. Usually, these dudes will use some "religion" or other to target a particular public, and the reality is that they are in it for only one thing. THE BUCK!!! #4. They always promote that you will make a residual income for the rest of your life with very little work on your behalf. This is an out and out lie. I've known several top level MLM producers, and these boys (and girls) worked their buns off for at least two years before they made those six figure incomes they are so fond of flashing around. They were always on the hussle. The average guy (you and me ;o) never made a dime worth speaking about. The guys who made the bucks were real "PROS". And lastly, these guys see a list like ours and see a chance to really hit paydirt and sign on to promote their wares looking for that "pie in the sky". You will see a lot of list members advocating this product or that company, but these are usually very ethical companies who do produce a great product at an affordable price. One of our policies states that you must have tried it yourself to recommend it to others. This gets rid of the "Wellllll, I "heard" that such and such was good for . . ." approach (and sometimes tooo much of that goes on the list). We just don't discuss MLM's on this list for the above reasons. If it's MLM, stay away from it regardless of whether or not they have a decent product (some do). You will always find it cheaper elsewhere. Always!!! And 99 times out of a hundred (might even be 100%), you'll find by being on this list that you can make your own remedies that are far superior to anything made out there in the commercial market. Vastly superior!!! We don't discuss MLM's or any of their products (with the possible exception of a castigation ;o). All other products and companies are fair game unless you make it yourself. Please understand this: The giant pharmaceuticals have infiltrated every healthfood store out there. Some of the products in your favorite healthfood store are actually made by Monsanto and Dupont or companies owned by them. Check my article in the files on: A Bedtime Story (or) How I discovered a Frankenfood Monster @ herbal remediesArticles/ Sooooo, there is no crime in being ignorant, only in remaining so once becoming aware of it ;o) But that's why you joined. Right??? LOL I hope this helps. Guest guest
PS. One other thing about MLM's. I personally get approached privately at least once a week by some MLM'ers (the odd one is even a good friend of mine), as they realize that I have a huge personal following of both patients and students. They are also aware that I own this list, and see me as a big dollar sign and try to recuit me to get on their band wagon. I'd never betray my patient's, student's or this list's trust by advocating any of them. Never! Guest guest
Awwwww, yew didn't oafend any-1 LOL It's all just a learning process. ;o) As far as the TT is concerned, the longer you let it perk in your gallon jar, the mellower and smoother it gets. If your DH likes Horseradish on his meat, he'll love the TT. I don't eat beef too often (and what I do eat is certified organic), but I'll use TT instead of Horseradish as a condiment. Makes it taste great. You can also mix it with olive oil as a salad dressing. Yummmmmmy! You can get very creative with these recipes. Just don't tell yer family it's good for 'em and they'll eat it. ROTFL Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington Now, one more question and I'll leave you in peace, I went to get the recipe for Total Tonic... Well, as my luck would have it...out of four in the family only I would be able to take the things in the recipe, especially raw. And I am not too sure I could do the garlic raw...Is there anything else on that line? Oh please, there has to be something that's not spicy.I have begged, pleaded and been in an actual screaming match with DH about diet...he simply refuses to budge from his daily gorging of "glue" (that's what I call anything processed). And that was AFTER listening to your tape and me pulling up all kinds of things on line that have nothing to do with this group or organic solutions, that back up what you were saying. Thanks for being patient with me here, I truly didn't know what it was...my sincerest apologies to any I offended. Guest guest
Angel, Once you put all the ingredients together in a blender and let it "ferment" then strain.... take a couple dropperfuls in a swallow of apple juice... I think you will be able to "get it down"... it does have a slight bite this way still, but much more manageable.... Try it. Guest guest
Angel, I drink it in my almond milk, and I actually like the taste of it that way. I don't like very spicy food/drink, but in this way it doesn't taste spicy at all.
