Guest guest
I had a ganglion appear quite suddenly on my wrist. My doctor told me that removing it surgically would not guarantee that it would really be gone; it could come right back. So I decided against the surgery and to accept it instead, and it disappeared overnight right after that. I have no idea where it came from or where it went, but that is my true experience with a ganglion.

My thoughts were that perhaps there is something which may induce them to subside , or like Joan's disappear entirely. As this is quite a common afliction I felt there may some experience out there with ganglion deterrents. Cheers ..... paul.

I exercise regularly ( well normally sometimes I slack off) , I usually play the Tai Chi form ( Yang style 108 ) every morning with other associated breathing exercises ( qigong). I do drink some beer ( don't think this is a factor) , however I do really enjoy coffee and have been know to over indulge in this vice. I have read and been told that caffiene is not good for cysts and I believe that ganglions are just another type of cyst. When not drinking coffee I usually stick with green tea , or several herbal infusions around these days, just lately I have been substituting these for coffee in the hope that it will help with the ganglions. If stress is a factor in this condition it's a wonder my ganglions aren't the size of footballs !! , but I have ,this year at least, been under an enormous degree of stress . My Tai Chi and Gigong haven't even been able to completely aleviate the undesirable effects of stress lately. I was taking St. Johns Wort for a while and found it helpful, but have layed off as I don't like using anything for an extended period. However I believe this is not a factor , but just mentioned it to give a complete snapshot of my lifestyle. Cheerio from Paul.
Guest guest
Paul, well, you're right caffeine is not good for any kind of cyst. and St. John's wort doesn't work that good for stress. Lobelia would be much better... also here is the formula for stress/ A tea with valerian would be better. Check out the files for total nutrition also.. I have a feeling Doc will be telling you to do a cleanse... whether total body or specific I am not sure... but do cut out the caffeine and switch the St. John's for Lobelia. Nerve Sedative Formula 2 - parts Valerian Root2 - parts Lobelia Seed Pods2 - parts Passion Flower1 - part Hops Flowers1 - part Black Cohosh1 - part Blue Cohosh1 - part Skullcap1 - part Wild Yam Remember a 'part' is a measurement by volume = handful, cup, tablespoon, etc. Suzi Tax Center - forms, calculators, tips, and more
Guest guest
Well Paul, I don't know of any deterrents to ganglions. I do know that if you were to immobilize the joint, (this will stop the pumping action), treat this area with the Deep Tissue Repair Oil, that you will find in the files, and start using the BF & C ointment as well as mixing the herbs and taking internally that you just might be able to heal this up. But you do need to immobilize the joint or it will continue to pump the fluid out into the sac.
