Guest guest
Evening all. I have a tough question for anyone who may have some serious answers. My friends 6 year old daughter was diagnosed as having a severe IgA deficieny. It is not quite 0, but not much higher than that. She was told there are blood transfusions for other Immunoglobulin type deficiencies, but not specifically for A. If you are deficient it really opens you up for some problems concerning ifections, especially airborn. Like your eyes, ears, mouth, lungs, any open part of your body that has direct contact with air is immune deficient. This is just what she told me, I have never heard of this before. The poor kid also had GERD and is on Prilosec 2wc a day. She has granular like warts in her colon that are not cancerous, but they will bleed as she gets older and stool rubs against them. They did a gazillion test on her and ruled out Celiac and CF. Also had allergy tests run and didn't come up with anything. I told her to try an elimination diet and she said she had and didn;t come up with anything. They are pretty healthy eaters and grow alot of their own food. The docs have pretty much done all they " can " do. Her husband had 2 grand mal seizures last Nov. He is 38 and at the time was VERY STRESSED OUT! They, of course, ran a gazillion tests on him and can find no reason for the seizures. He is on an antiseizure medication for prophylaxis. He also just got laid off and started his own business. Insurance for his family per month will run 1100.00 because of this whole seizure thing. 800 and more of it just for him. Are there any antiseizure herbs out there that he could use in conjunction with these drugs or possibly get off them since they don't have any reason, other than a " maybe " that this will happen again? I know this is alot to ask and fairly detailed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Carlin
Guest guest
Carlin, This is definitely one for Doc... I'm sure he can recommend something...wow to have so many problems so young.... As you know he is gone for a week.... I would suggest just as a beginner to start taking Total Tonic... cleanses will probably be in order but I'll let Doc handle the remedy... Total tonic is a natural antibiotic... which from what I've read seems to be part of the treatment (antibiotics).... the definition of iga goes as follows: Definition: Low levels of or complete absence of immune globulin A, which causes decreased immune function in the mucosal surfaces (e.g., mouth, gastrointestinal tract, and lungs) and results in increased risk for respiratory and gastrointestinal infections. It is associated with autoimmune diseases. I just spoke to Doc as he was leaving...he will respond when he gets back next week...
