Guest guest
I've been feeding my dogs bones, meat, veggies, fruit, and flaxseed oil for almost a year now. Someone told me to add a supplement of alfalfa and kelp to their diet. Unfortunately I never thought of asking how much ? Can anyone back this up? From my research they are both good supplements for dogs but I don't want to harm them by giving too much. Thanks, *** BTW you can not find any brand of flaxseed in Oklahoma that is in a bottle. They are all in plastic bottles ( that suck !! ) Guess I'll have to try the internet ( don't know about shipping it though )?? Dave S. Guest guest
Have you tried making your own by throwing the flax seed in a coffee grinder (or other kind) and then adding it to their veggies? Guest guest
I feed a raw diet to my dogs as well. I give them sea kelp with their morning meal everyday. I use a sprinkle which I guess would be about 1/2 tsp. Others don't give it everyday, maybe 3 times a week and a bit larger amount. I prefer daily, then I don't have to remember when they had it last. Sienna k9_obsession wrote: I've been feeding my dogs bones, meat, veggies, fruit, and flaxseed oil for almost a year now. Guest guest
Becky, I've read somewhere that the shell ( or husk ) contains a toxin for dogs, which is why I buy it cold pressed.
