My sinus trouble is gone...

I was suffering from sinus trouble for weeks and weeks. I hadn't

had trouble like this for more than 25 years, but the weather

certainly has been extreme. I am so lucky: I finally hit on the right

combination of things that worked for me. Some of them I sort of

gleaned from recipes on this list, some of them I got from my

Chinese doctor, and others I thought up myself.

 

Here they are:

 

(1) 2 garlic cloves with each meal (works best as a preventative,

actually, before you get a cold)

 

(2) eggs for breakfast with extra-hot salsa and chai made with

lots of ginger

 

(3) rice congee cooked with lots of ginger, leeks and a little roast

pork

 

(4) extra ester-C, quercetin, vitamin E, and multiminerals

 

(5) Turned off radiators while I was sleeping and for much of the

day as well

 

.......................

 

I don't really care for congee but my Chinese doctor told me I

should just think of it as medicine. So I did, and it worked like

really good medicine, too.

 

Strangely enough, he also says that chicken should not be eaten

when one has any kind of infection. This goes contrary to the

advice of my Jewish mother, but he thinks it holds the infection

inside you.
