Guest guest
Suzi, The matter of sending and/or giving out free information is an important discussion, IMHO. I used to give out free extremely detailed advice on eye exercises until about two weeks ago. I had gotten too many requests, and I have trouble making a living anyway. I wish I could have gone on forever doing it for free. Now when I get requests from people I have to tell them that it costs money. And I feel guilty asking...! I don't know if David sells his formula or generally gives it away. Some of us here sell health-related things and some don't. Some mix and match the two processes. I'd love it if all health-related information were free but for some of us spending alot of time doing this is just not financially possible. I don't know if David is aware that I am giving eye exercise advice for $$ now. Maybe you're being a bit too harsh on him. As eyesight improvement is my special field of interest, I look at alot of websites with info on this. Some of them give everything away, like the Bates websites. But Bates is not all that easy to understand, and giving away a PDFof his book is all very well but you may not be able to figure out what his intention is w/re to many of the exercises. In fact, I recommend that anyone interested in Bates find a Bates teacher. I frankly think that trying eyesight improvement without at least some kind of personal advisor is not the best idea in the world. I didn't do it all by myself either. There are also Bates-type websites where the webmaster is selling a book that he wrote or a tape. And there are optometrists who teach orthoptics. Not too many in the world, either one of them, but worth looking for. We've all got to make a living somehow. But it is proper and ethical if we give approximately as much as we get. Otherwise...Bad karma, to say the least. Fran
Guest guest
Hi Francine and David! I make and sell natural products, and for a long time I was very secretive about my recipies. Then one day I just loosened up, and I tell anyone who's interested about how I make my stuff, so they can make it themselves. This is the catch - making all this stuff is my idea of having a good time, and even though it may be interesting for others to know the hows and whys, they don't want to spend the time making it themselves. So they buy it from me, and I feel great inside knowing that I did it the " right " way, because in my opinion the best products are the ones you make yourself, and by sharing completly this is the next best thing. I just say that people can make it themselves by doing this and that, or if they want they can buy it from me for a certain price. Guest guest
Right on Chris. With the exception of the people on this list, who are a bunch of wild-ass, natural healers anyways ;o) LOL, I'd say that 99.99% of most people either don't have the time to make these natural remedies, or don't have the interest beyond an intellectual interest. Love, Doc PS. I sometimes have to beg my patients to make a recipe as simple as Total Tonic. And with the potential of war in our future, every family should have a gallon of this formula on hand. ;o) Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Chris Bartenbach <optimist.chris herbal remedies Sunday, February 16, 2003 12:33 PM [herbal remedies] Re: Eye Exercises and formulas, etc. Hi Francine and David!I make and sell natural products, and for a long time I was very secretive about my recipies.
