They make foods for urinary tract infection - and moist food is worse actually than the dry.. but they make both... Your vet will carry it if you can't find it elsewhere.

I am afraid the food may be the problem Irene. Cats who eat a high ash content diet often develop bladder stones. Your kitty sounds as if he is partially blocked now, and if he continues and gets fully blocked he will die hon. The cranberry is just a small bandaid, the diet is the underlying problem. Look at your local pet store for low or no ash cat food in bulk, it will save you money in pet food bills and veterinary bills.

[herbal remedies] Cat w/ urinary infection

Hi, i haven't posted in a while, i just need help with my male cat, who has a urinary infection it seems. my mom brought him to the vet and got him medication but it always comes back, so i was wondering if there was something else i can give him. i started putting powdered cranberry in his food today. i dont' know if that will be good enough, so i was hoping maybe someone else could give me some ideas. He pees basically every 5 minutes and the smallest amount comes out, even though he hovers over the litter box for such a long time, nothing seems to come out. This seems to happen more often with male cats because i had the same problem with another cat and i have 12 cats, so it's hard to buy them really expensive food.any help would be much appreciated.thank you*ireneFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1.
