Guest guest
Tracey, I use to do a lot of BTA testing (Biological Terrain Assessment - which is a machine that analyzes a persons urine, saliva and blood with regard to pH, oxidation and mineral concentration - the basics of biological terrain). About 85% or more of people I tested had low pH (too acidic). It is VERY common in American society because of our eating habits and toxic environment. To help yourself you need to detox (intestines, liver, kidneys, etc), eat organic, healthy foods and make sure you are digesting well. Most of the acidity comes from toxic build up and undigested food. There is a lot of data out there about acid forming foods but this data is not always 100% accurate. For example, it is false data that animal protein will cause your body to be acidic. UNDIGESTED animal protein will cause a problem though. A strong digestive tract and wholesome foods prepared and combined in ways that make digestion easy is the key. The first step, though, is to cleanse your organs. Barbara Carr, OTR/LbdcarrNatural health for children who have been labeled with autism, learning disabilities and ADD I've just was told that I have a low body Ph level. My body is to acidic. Can somone tell what that mean & how can I help myself?

Guest guest
Cutting out all animal protein does not nor will it make the body too acidic. Animal protein creates the acidic condition along with grains, nuts, seeds, starchy roots, junk food, pre-processed foods, sodas, coffee, tea, dairy, etc. Cutting out these will make the body more alkaline which is what our bodies need to be in order to maintain optimum immunity and health. Now I have no idea about whether sprouted grains, nuts and seeds create an acidic condition or not but I tend to doubt this as once sprouted they are now a plant or vegetable and no longer the starchy nut, seed, or grain that they were before. Guest guest
Right on Barb. Another good point having to do with meats is how the animal was raised. Contrary to popular belief, "grain fed" is not all it's cracked up to be. If you check with, http://www.eatwild.com you'll see an article that shows how "grain fed" actually produces meat that is Acid Ash producing where on the other hand, "Grass Fed" (the cow's natural diet) produces alkaline ash meat. Very interesting.
