Don,

Even the heavier grains like rye and oats? i can just eat 'em like that?

That's great! I've been munching on this huge amount of quinoa all day and

just want to be sure I won't make myself sick on them. I'll juice 'em up

with my carrots when I get home tonight.

My name is Ilana and I'm about to become a sprout-a-holic!

:)

Hi Ilana,

Very well done on sprouting!!!! lol Just eat it like

sprouts, put it on your salad, juice em up with you juice or maybe steam

some up with some other veggies (just be sure to add the sprouts in at the

very end so they don't steam too long. Now that the quinoa is sprouted you

do not have to worry about enzyme inhibitors and can just eat them the way

they are. You never have to cook your grains if you sprout em first.

[herbal remedies] Sprouting quinoa

Hi everyone,

I just sort of accidentally sprouted a whole container of quinoa. I've

never sprouted a grain before. Can I just eat it like seed sprouts, just

straight on a salad or should I still be cooking it as if it were a

grain (which it is, just a growing one)?

Thanks,

ILANA xoxo

Hi Ilana,

Welcome to SA. Any grain that is sprouted can be eaten raw. Once sprouted it is then a living plant. Much better for you. No you will not make yourself sick on them. Enjoy!!!

Dear Ilana,

You can eat it straight or with a salad and this way the enzymes are still intact. This is best.

Tell you what. I'll bring the salad dressing and be right over. LOL
