Dear Friends, Drummers and Facilitators,

 

You're invited to attend the " Music & Wellness Experience " Weekend

hosted by the National Music Center this Saturday and Sunday in Washington DC!

 

Attached below is information and the updated schedule, as well as links to the

websites

for each event.

 

The National Music Center's " Music and Wellness Experience " is designed to

enhance

quality of life, building healthier communities through Recreational Music

Making. It will

serve as a resource, facility and conduit for RMM activities.

When:

Saturday and Sunday, January 13th and 14th, 2007

 

Where:

Historic Carnigie Library, 801 K st, NW, in the heart of Washington DC,

adjacent to the Washington Dc Convention Center

NBC4Health Expo-Washington DC Convention Center

 

Locations:

-FitRhythms programs will be in the Remo-FitRhythms Room in the National Music

Center

and on the indoor track at the convention center.

-Drum Circles / Health Rhythms will be located at the entrance to the national

Music

Center or just inside on the main floor and at the indoor track at the

convention center.

Saturday January 13th

 

9:30am – 10:00 am : Community Drum Circle-Natl. Music Center

10:20 am–10:40 am: FitRhythms Drum & Dance Workout-EXPO Center

11:20 am – 11:40 am : Community Drum Circle-EXPO Center

Noon–12:20 pm: FitRhythms Drum & Dance Workout-Music Center

1:00 pm – 1:20 pm: FitRhythms Drum & Dance Workout- Natl. Music Center

1:20 pm - 1:40 pm : Community Drum Circle-EXPO Center

2:20 pm – 2:40 pm : FitRhythms Drum & Dance Workout-Natl. Music Center

Please come out and show your support for recreational music making, have some

fun

drumming and dancing with us. Check out these great new resources to support

your

programs and the RMM movement. Bring your information and network with others

attending the show. Info on RMM, DCF, Health Rhythms, FitRhythms, Remo World

Percussion and Yamaha Clavinova Connection will be available as well as many

other

music, health and wellness programs.

 

Thanks to Remo and FitRhythms, we will have approx. 100 instruments on hand at

each

location, however please bring an instrument or two if you can, as we expect

these circles

to get massive!

 

FitRhythms is offering $2,000.00 scholarships to their upcoming professional

trainings, so

if you are a facilitator interested in broadening your skills, services and

demographics

please come check out the program and bring a bio with you.

is

What will be happening in this historic building?

• Drum Circles with Remo's HealthRHYTHMS

• Learn to play the piano in just minutes at the Clavinova Connection

• Get your daily workout with Paolo Mattioli's FitRhythms

• CityDance Ensemble will get you moving!

• Play musical chairs with Fitness for Life

• Join the " Sonic Workout " open to anyone interested in " jamming out. "

• MIE, Yamaha's Music In Education Program

 

The National Music Center will also preview to the public programs and

possibilities slated

for 2007. This includes: DJ Classes, Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, 1000 person

Drum

Circle, Guitar Classes, Music Experience Labs, Recording Studios, Piano Classes,

and

more…

 

Artists are invited and encouraged to join us and learn about resources

available to our

City's Musicians.

 

While in the neighborhood take advantage of the close proximity (directly across

the

street) to the NBC 4 Health and Fitness Expo at the DC Convention Center.
