Guest guest
Dear Flavia, It would be too expensive to import what I use into India, and I bet there are Indian herbs that do a similar job. Metabazon has 2 Rainforest herbs that are locally known as " vegetable Insulin " : Pata de Vaca, and Pedra Hume Caa. The botanical names are Myrcia Salicifolia (Pedra Hume Caa) and Bauhinia Forticata.(Pata de Vaca). It also has other ingredients, and I don't know the exact proportions of course. I have no idea what the Indian equivalent would be, but maybe some of our list members from that area can help out. Botanical names are helpful because when we use them we all know when we are talking about the same thing. I do know for instance that the herb I know as Chanca Piedra (Phyllanthus niruri)is known in India as Bahupatra, Bhuiamla, or bhumi amalaki. Awesome herb. Apparently it grows like a weed. But then, so does Dandelion, bless its glorious yellow head! I just totally love herbs, the exotic and the local.
