Guest guest
Most times weight issues are emotional issues - the extra weight is a literal shield of protection and/or comfort around you - you may be highly sensitive and pick up on surrounding energies very easily & extra weight helps as shock absorption - you may feel more exposed or more helpless if you're " smaller " Or, you could equate food with comfort and protection - maybe you felt rejected by a significant person in your life - parent, etc. Or, you could have issues with letting go in general (like being a packrat) or in specific, to some hurt/issues from the past, real or imagined Or, it could be rebellion against society Depending on whether you feel shame - it could be a way of avoiding emotional/sexual relationships - this is many times the case with abuse victims What works for me - I have never been overweight - the rest of my family have weight issues (4 sibs + parents) - except when pregnant (5 times) & I always get back to my regular weight within 6 months to a year - I just expect to achieve my normal weight & I go thru phases as it drops off - visualizing yourself at your ideal weight & knowing you deserve it will help - every night before sleep & every morning before getting up - see yourself exercising, slimming down, being fit - don't think about " losing " weight - as you tend to 'find' things you 'lose' - " release " it - thank it for its comfort, but now it's time to move on the best thing is fasting at least 1 day per week - almost everyone has gone a day without eating - no it won't kill you - in fact, it has been linked to longevity - drink lots and lots of pure water - I believe it's 1 oz per pound of body weight per day - you can look that up for certainty - drink the water every day regardless of what you decide to do and stop eating before 8pm - your circadian cycles are at 8 hour intervals - that's where the only fruit until noon (Fit for Life) comes in - 4am to noon - elimination (anything other than fruit will constipate up until then) - noon to 8pm - ingestion (eating) - 8pm to 4am - assimilation - that's why many people get heartburn & gallbladder issues when eating late at night - they are out of sync with their body - but a lot of people crave food when they stay up late esp sweets - you will find that just not eating after 8pm (or earlier) you will be several pounds lighter in the morning - depending on the amount of overweight you are - do a search on the " chinese body organ clock " - it's based on the energy meridians going through your body - every organ has a special time & a corresponding organ - if you experience symptoms at certain times of the day - look up the organ clock & you will know what organ is having issues do a good colon cleanse program, liver cleanse, gallbladder cleanse, kidney cleanse & /or a general detoxing program - sometimes releasing the toxins & blockages relieves these organs enough to metabolize food correctly - colonic irrigation will help practicing deep breathing (while morning and evening meditation) has helped people lose weight with no other changes eating a lot of raw foods - salads - fruits - eat your lightest at night - at least 1 raw meal a day yoga - what happens with exercising - especially weight-bearing is that you make muscle - this weighs more than fat so you become very muscular with a layer of fat over the muscle - that's where cardio comes in - it burns the fat - I have know many people who are very muscular and firm underneath even 50 to 100 pounds over their ideal weight eat negative calorie foods - these are foods that use more calories to process in your body than they contribute - do a search on that get off of ANY artificial anything - esp sweeteners - try to restrict them but use sucanat, xylitol, stevia, raw honey - anything minimally processed - no aspartame, sucralose, diet stuff NO SODAS lol no refined carbs - white bread, white sugar, pasta substitute herbal tea for sweet tea make & drink smoothies every morning reward yourself with something other than food don't keep your " addictions " in the house don't shop when you're hungry pray to a particular deity get a good multi-vitamin - bio-available - many times over-weight, cravings are linked to nutritional deficiencies Newton Lab's homeopathic Detox Do something you absolutely love to do - you will feel energized & good about yourself - it will make you focus on something other than food/weight Be of service - help others out - read inspirational stories - find love - be loving - do random acts of kindness - cry, hard - go to confession - write out your fears, experiences on paper, bless them & send them on their way by burning them whatever you've had to learn from your weight issues you've already learned and it's time to learn about another state of being See yourself unencumbered and light - weightless, floating free Herbal remedies are hard to recommend without knowing more about your health condition - some people use hoodia, garcinia, cell foods - there are programs designed for you to use at night after not eating for 3 hours or so I like to go into herb shops, etc & look at the clearance bin - I have many times found just what I needed - it's usually half-price & cuts down on the selection process - going with the flow, so to speak whatever book catches your eyes - like at a thrift store or book sale - if you keep seeing or hearing about a certain book, supplement, condition over and over - that may be a sign to investigate it further ask yourself before you go to sleep at night whatever pertinent question - like " what do I need to do to attain my perfect weight/body/level of being/whatever " and make sure you tell yourself to remember when you wake up - keep pen/paper next to you to write down as soon as you awaken use sexual energy (which is your creative energy) & channel it to rebuild tissue & strengthen organs - this is what tantra is about - so some research on that - Mantak Chia & his wife - I believe is the name - a book Cultivating Female Sexual Energy I think is the name kicks butt look up mudras - these are once-secret hand positions that used to be revealed only to long-term yoga adepts used to manifest conditions & power Dieting is not the way to go - you must change your eating habits/attitudes a little at a time - sometimes it will be hard - other times you will wonder why you didn't do this or that sooner - many times things you were so attached to will just fall away.. Tell yourself " I love you. " there are many other ways...but I'm tired of typing lol Hope this helps On 1/10/07, Trish <originalrebelgirl wrote: > > Could someone give me some advise on how to lose weight , ive been > dieting exercising and nothing seems to help me.
