Guest guest
An earlier post asked if anyone knew the address for the FBI...there was a suggestion that certain texts be forwarded to them. I do not know the content, however...

Guest guest
It was me, regarding some concerned comments about the foreign language posts maybe being secret terrorist messages. If the FBI had a general mail box where concerned citizens could forward suspicious email, it would make such things easier to report, as they finally have such translators on staff. Sorry to have caused the diversion. Probably these folks are just trying to participate in the forum and can't seem to turn on their English translators and we can't find our Arabic translators, so we don't know what they are saying. Fear of the unknown is a powerful thing. Guest guest
Sorry folks, I don't mean to intrude here. I have just joined it myself. Concerning this or other emailings that are in a foreign language I do know (I know a retired FBI agent) that if you have ANY questions or concerns concerning an email that you have recieved then they welcome you to forward (in tact) them to their agency. If you do not get a response back then all is reasonable/good. If they contact you then you are lucky. Sometimes they ask if you could invite them to " TROLL " or " LURK " for any more contact by this or other individuals. Or simply ask you to participate or help them nab or prossecute them. My friend has stated that they are there for this and many other reasons. Considering that here in the USA we are almost always at a heightened level of security that when you need them they are there. ALSO, you may want to ask an officer (your local) to look at the email and determine if it is of a national security risk. At any rate, don't ignore such postings. Make sure that they are saved and followed up on by our governement agencies. The Al-Queda (Sp?) and other terrorist communities use groups such as this to penitrate through and pass their propeganda through in hopes that someone with their organization will read it. Sometimes setting groups to *Moderation* helps too. Just some food to gnaw upon. I hope this helps. BTW, go to www.fbi.gov and bookmark that page. You never know when you might need them. ^..^ Fire ^..^ - Toni Roberts Wednesday, January 10, 2007 10:03 AM Re: Re: FBI address It was me, regarding some concerned comments about the foreign language posts maybe being secret terrorist messages. Guest guest
hey guys... i know the terror threat here isn't as drilled home as in other countries...and your concerns are definately not lost on me... but... has anyone ever considered that they might just not be english literate. if i were trying to be discreet in my communications i certainly wouldn't have it stand out so much...and it did, i had to look twice before dismissing it. that said...english ppl...it is an english list hamish. just another nutbag. -- -------------------------------- The Keeper of the Big Blue Cable of Connectivity TKBBCC - DNRC I:274300250 Y:hamish_dy M:hamish WL:hamish-dy
