It has been so long ago I don't remember... I just remember it taking away the pain and redness.

Hello Mike,

I understand that you do not want to received any postings that my look like

spam. The articles of the " online magazine " that you wrote about, are TCM

related. I do not understand your post, it is something else that you want to

share with us?

Mike, do not leave. I like and appreciate your contribution to the group, but

please be fair and respectful if you decide to make comments or write about

It might be nice to know what the policy is towards an online magazine posting

its many articles to this group. This is starting to look like spam. Maybe the

stuff either. Thanks

I don't know what the world is coming to when you give people high quality

articles for free and they moan and complain. If you don't like the email, then

delete it.

The rules of the forum as laid initially by myself many years ago where to

promote TCM without any commercial posts. As these articles are free to all,

they are non-commercial.

Other announcements such as CPDs, seminars, book releases, etc are allowed one

post each.

I, too, have always enjoyed Attilio's CMT posts. They always have good

netiquette - short, concise, relevant, and with tinyurl links so as not to

clog our inboxes. He provides a wonderful and much appreciated service.

If we are tolerant enough to allow some of the long repetitive political

debates, then surely we have room for a few small links to interesting and

informative articles which supports and uplifts our profession!

So, then who decides which articles and journals? This can easily become

overwhelming, even with the best intentioned TCM or healthcare journals all

choosing to participate. I do not mind an occasion article post but would

prefer not to have the entire online journal linked with each separately. Maybe

Attilio could simply limit it to one link for the journal or an article. As we

are all getting more and more uninvited information it becomes spam, let's

reduce the tendency to post it all, by just a little. Is this not a reasonable

request?

Attilio,

The issue here is not with the articles being free but that your online journal

is also selling other materials, which a person cannot freely opt out of the

ads. In some ways, it appears to be a lure to buy. If you are the only one

allowed to have links to advertising, then it is a monopoly. Just another

viewpoint.

I could not agree more keep the great articles coming... ignore the

politically correct mentality .... if you don't like this group as it

has been for years you can leave... in fact please leave so we can get

Attilio,

Thanks for organizing both this and chinesemedicinetimes.

Your contribution is amazing as are the article writers.

Actually, I forgot about chinesemedicinetimes, since I'm so busy.

Glad you reminded me.

It must have taken a lot of time and energy to write the articles, build the

website

and post them. I think all of this deserves at least one message on the

site that you initiated.

I get hundreds of emails everyday, including ones from this .

The free articles on chinesemedicinetimes can actually help my practice

directly.

Isn't that the point?

Mind as well censor all of the signature post-scripts with website links as

well.

Well here is another view point for you Mike..... take your complaints

elsewhere... or why don't you start your own TCM group.

In plain english you are a pain in the ass... drop it, as I for one do

not want you pc crap here. I am sure I am not alone. Better yet I wish

Attilio would just drop your posts from the list

Bug off ... just another point of view.

David,

Since when did respectful discourse become outlawed? I posted a respectful

question to the group's moderator, asking about the group's policies toward this

conduct. If you want more spam and fail to understand what I am asking, then

simply remain ignorant. There is nothing wrong with my asking for clarity and

it is not your place to decide.

It never ceases to amaze me when one hides behind " respectful discourse "

as a ruse to disrupt the status quo. I have said it as it is.. I an far

from ignorant and won't be played the fool. I have seen " respectful

discourse " and requests for " clarity " disrupt and ruin many a group.

So Mikey drop it... it is clear ... you asked you have been answered...

the group will not change for you and your further disruptions are not

welcome. As to if it is my place to decide... you are right, nor is it

yours, but I am no covert.... Hope you got it.

David Sontag, L.Ac, AP, DOM, Lic. Nutritionist...... and I will not bore

you or the group with the rest of my credentials.

I myself would be a little sad to see you go Mike. I always thought I'd get an

interesting and knowledgeable point of view  when I saw you posted something.

And, it doesn't bother me that Attilio sends in urls for articles sometimes. He

and Phil both do that, I look forward to them doing that, they pick stuff pretty

carefully, they are the only ones who do it, so it isn't pervasive. It hasn't

become a problem to me, none of this has. Peace.

David,

It appears that you have some anger here about this issue or myself. I have the

right to ask a respectful question and find your responses to be highly

inappropriate, whether you like them or not. I made a simple suggestion to seek

improvement with this forum as it relates to marketing. I would hope that any

one of us can make suggestions as well.

In a professional forum, intimidating behavior is unheard of and lowers the

level of discourse. Members should understand this and be respectful, not act

out upon others. Questions and suggestions should be heralded, not feared. If

you want no further comment on this, then refrain from responding.

It never ceases to amaze me when one hides behind " respectful

discourse "

as a ruse to disrupt the status quo.
