Lurker here, hoping Alternative medicine might be able to help with our

problem. My husband has just been diagnosed with a blood clot from the back

of his knee to his belly button. Miracle American Medicine has offered

nothing in the way of help except coumadon to avoid additional clots. They

say he will eventually absorb the clot. We have read most all of our medical

books, regular and Alternative and find nothing except how to rid the blood

and veins of cholesterol. Help! Anyone have some experience in this area????

Any help would be appreciated. Kathy

There are many nutrients and foods that will clear clots and keep them

from forming.

Vitamin E, C, garlic, onions, etc.

Go to the links page and click on doctoryourself.com. Read all that

you can and learn.

important to assure that effective treatment occurs.

Do some research into nattokinase and serrapeptase. They are enzymes best known

to dissolve blood clots.

I've reveiewed a number of entries on this site with great interest.

Thanks to all for their contributions.

I've been wondering: does anyone have any information about the use of

chealation therapy with regard to dealing with blood clots or clogged

arteries? Also I'm curious as wheteher a regime of vinegar (natural

apple cider with " mother " ) and garlic is of any use with regard to

improving cirulation? It seems I've heard about that, would like some

confirmation or rebuttal.

sincerely,

Arthur

I used to be a nurse working for an alternative MD doing IV chelation therapy. I

heard a lot of stories about how well the chelation worked for them. It cleared

arteries; I never heard anybody mention blood clots. People would drive 8 hours

for a three hour treatment and then drive another 8 hours home. What would you

like to know?

There are a number of things here you can do. I will give you the

very

condensed version and you will need to do some research for

yourself.

All the things being sited here have plenty of studies and

information

available.

One of the things that helps this condition is L-arginine. It is a

nitric oxide precusor and greatly improves circulation. It effects

are

noticed within a few hours or taking it by people who have severe

circulation problems that cause things like blue finger tips and

toes.

this is also considered by many to be a better alternative than

taking

aspirin which only serves to thin the blood and carries a risk of a

fatal brain hermorage, arginine helps prevent

platelets sticking together which causes blood clots and strokes and

increases circulation by causing the diameter of the veins to

increase

by releasing nitric oxide, the same mechanism that is used to

control blood pressure and is used by the drug Viagria and nitro

glycerine which is given for the same purpose in event of a heart

attack to open up the diameter of the veins to relieve make the work

load on the heart much easier.

Here is one link on that, there are many more if you want to

research

it:

http://www.angelfire.com/az/sthurston/arginine_vs_aspirin.html

Fish oil helps with platelet aggrigation as well and lowers

triglycerides. It is also an anti inflammitory and helps with

irregular

heartbeat as well as a number of other problems.

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/print/druginfo/natural/patient-

fishoil.html

Vitiman C, Lysine and Proline can repair arterial damage and reverse

arterial scerosis by removing the plaques over time and binding the

lipoprotiens that cause the plaques to form.

Coenzyme Q10 also helps in the circulatory system and for heart

muscle strength.

Hello Christine,

First of all if they FOUND blood clots in your lungs that is good

that they found them! Personally if it were me I would take the

heprin/comudin for a few months until they resolved. Seems like a

serious problem.

then find some Nattokinase suppliments.

from WIKIPEDIA:

Japanese often say that eating nattô is good for your health. Some of

these claims are backed by medical research. Nattô for example

contains a compound Pyrazine, which not only gives nattô its distinct

smell, but also reduces the likelihood of blood clotting. It also

contains a serine protease type enzyme called nattokinase[1] which

may also reduce blood clotting both by direct fibrinolysis of clots,

and inhibition of the plasma protein plasminogen activator inhibitor

1. This may help to avoid thrombosis, as for example in heart

attacks, pulmonary embolism, or strokes. An extract from nattô

containing nattokinase is available as a dietary supplement. Studies

have shown that oral administration of nattokinase in enteric

capsules leads to a mild enhancement of fibrinolytic activity in rats

[2] and dogs. It is therefore plausible to hypothesize that

nattokinase might reduce blood clots in humans, although clinical

trials have not been conducted.

Good Luck!!

Hi Everyone,

<I have recently been diagnosed with Blood Clots in my lungs and I am

wondering if there are any alternative routes for healing them rather

then taking Warfarin (aka Coumadin...aka Rat Poison) every day.>

If I had blood clots I would look into the enzyme nattokinase,

based on a Japanese fermented soybean food.

Look for it and read about it at this website:

http://DrDavidWilliams.com

I would also eat lots of raw garlic, or aged garlic products like

Kyolic, or Strauss Heart Drops. http://straussheartdrops.com

Kris again:

<I am also curious about alternative routes for pain management. They

currently have me on oxycontin and because I am not comfortable taking

the narcotic, I rarely do.>

Kris, smart you for looking into alternatives!

What is causing your pain ?

You might start by learning Emotional Freedom Technique.

there is a free handbook and a handy PowerPoint presentation

that is easier to learn from in the files section of the group.
