I got pure oil of clove in the baking section of the store. You can get it

for making candy etc. but it has to say PURE oil of clove. It worked last night

for me but it did upset my stomache slightly because I was drinking water

after using it. I suggest eatting something before you use it because even if

you

are not swallowing large amounts you do swallow a little when drinking or

with saliva and it is very strong. Good Luck!

Essential oils is what you're looking for. Oil of

Clove. They usually will come in a brown bottle in a 1

oz or larger size with a dropper. Unlike incense oils

which come in small clear bottles without a dropper.

Look in the dental section if you can't find it on the

shelf elsewhere.

If you can't find it in the stores, do this:

Take a package of whole cloves, which usually is easy to find, and add

a cup of extra virgin olive oil to your blender. Blend until it is

quite well combined, but not beginning to paste up.

Put it into a glass jar and seal. Allow this to sit for two to four

hours in the sun. The clove sediment will settle to the bottom of the

jar, leaving the natural oils infused in the olive oil on top. Use an

eye dropper to extract what you need, and only use a drop or two at a

time.

Any concentration of clove oil is full of something called " Eugenol, "

which actually is the scientific name for the active pain killing

ingredient in cloves. The dental industry has been using it for years

as a preparation for the pain reducing fillings placed before a root

canal or any other deep dental work is finished. The next time you're

in the dentist's office, ask them about IRM, and see what they tell

you about it.

One caution with this: Any form of clove oil is extremely HOT. USE

ANY STRENGTH OF THIS OIL SPARINGLY. When I mention one or two drops

only, you really don't want to use much more. The oils can scald the

very sensitive mouth tissues, and may make things worse than they

already are.

Hope this helps.
