Guest guest
Has anyone heard of " Color Therapy? " I have heard that certain colors can help you with many health issues. Anxiety being one, stress, etc. etc.... I am about to pain a bedroom that I want to use and my " serenity room " where I can go to get away, be quiet, meditate, try to calm down, pray etc... I want it to be as condusive to calmness and relaxing as possible. Would painting a room a specific color ( no matter how faint the color is) would it help with this? If anyone has any links to site that discuss color therapy and what colors do what for you, I would appreciate you sending me the links so I can read more about it. Thank you Health and Blessings to all Gail
Guest guest
I LOVE color therapy by Dinshah, called Spectro-Chrome. I use it for everything--well, we are rarely sick, but when I have used it, it works quickly and superbly. It has an 80 year history behind it, scientifically and personally (from thousands of people) proven, though the man himself, Dinshah was hounded all his life for speaking out against doctors, the FDA and actually having a simple, cheap system of healing! You can go to WWW.dinshahhealth.org/ to learn more about it. I suggest you buy the paperback Let There Be Light, which has everything you need to learn to use Spectro-Chrome. They will include a source where you can buy the colored filters to use this system, as they are STILL not, by law, not allowed to sell anything like the filters or the machines that Dinshah invented, even after all these years past Dinshah's death. I would suggest everyone spend the money for this book--it is cheap, and get a small set of filters. You can heal just about anything using this system. It's quite remarkable. You won't find any on color therapy because I have searched for a group to join. Well, I did join one group, but it's not actually much about color healing, and when it does speak of color healing they talk about other systems not related to Spectro-Chrome. There are lots of color systems, most work to some degree but they have not been investigated as thoroughly as Dinshah's, nor work anywhere near as good as his. If there is an interest in a group like this I would be willing to start one. I just LOVE Spectro-Chrome. Samala, Renee ---- Has anyone heard of " Color Therapy? Guest guest
Hi Renee, Here are some posts from 6 months ago on color from another group. The first one is my answer to their questions: Re: Prism and then Dinshaw Color Therapy Hi, Prisms are available from catalogues that supply science labs and teachers. Try Edmund Scientific in NJ? or catalogues for science teachers or educational supply stores. As for color therapy, This first book was written in the 1880's. Dinshaw studied it and his work was based on it. Babbit came from Hamden,NY. the next town over from where I was living for most of the 1980's. THE PRINCIPLES OF LIGHT & COLOR $24.95 by Edwin Babbitt This early pioneering work on color therapy details the history and development of this art and science. The original was a very lengthy and ponderous work. This is an edited edition which includes the most important information. SC 271 pages Dinshaw Ghadiali, came to the USA from Bombay, India in 1911 and developed several versions of his machine that was very sucessful in treating many diseases of his day(1920-1940's). The machines were used by many doctors and hospitals at the time and they were able to help patients with diseases and conditions that did not respond to other medical treatments of the day. This is before the advent of modern medicine and the drug culture that began with the discovery of streptomycin at Rutgers Univ. in 1947. Non of the drugs that are used today existed before that except asprin, digitalis from the plant foxglove and penicillin discovered in the mid 1800's but not widely used until the middle of WWII. Before WWII pharmacies used sulphur, iodine, quinine, arcenic and many herbs and herbal derivatives and homeopathic preparations. The AMA and the drug companies had managed to change all medical textbooks between 1910-1912 so that they reflected only one theory of disease-germs.Before that, there were at least four that were taught. The allopathic schools suceeded in getting all the gov't funding and put the homeopathic schools out of business by the 1920's. Then the AMA went after all non invasive methods of treatment and those they could not buy or control, they surpressed. What they did to Dinshaw was similar to what was done to Rife. He was brought up on charges in the 1930's. With his research notes and the tesimony of three prominent medical doctor/professor types he won. Then in the 1940's there was a mysterious fire in his lab and he lost many of his notes. They brought him up on charges again and crushed him. By the 1950's,the FDA went around to doctors, hospitals and clinics and took all the Dinshaw color therapy machines that they could find and destroyed them. Very few survived. I still have access to one taken from a retired MD in NJ. It was in his garage all these years until a friend of mind found it in the 1980's and gave it to friends of ours. Darius Dinshaw collected all of his father's notes that were left and published a book in the 1970's. LET THERE BE LIGHT $12.95 by Darius Dinshah Complete description of the pioneering Spectro-Chrome system. Includes history, use of colored filters and applications. HC 160 pages In this book, they explain where to get theatre gels and which ones to use that are closest to the colors used in the original research. I believe that they listed three companies but mainly use Roscoe Filters. Everything is in the book, still in print, including how to make a machine and how to do treatments. Darius Dinshaw still runs the Dinshaw Society in Malaga,NJ. Then,Peter Mandel, who introduced us to Kurlian Photography in the 1960-1970's, continued with color therapy work in Germany from the 1970's on combining it with acupuncture. It is called colorpuncture and my wife is one of a handfull of people trained and certified by Peter and his son in the practice of colorpuncture in the USA. It is better known in Europe. So, to answer your question, exact filters are critical if you want to follow and compare color therapy work to that done by Dinshaw and to use his protocols. And like Rife, a whole new body of knowledge is evolving based on the original work done in the first half of the 1900's by Dinshaw. So, how does this relate to Rife and Frex? Every color that we see and those we can't see, have a specific frequency. Therefore, it may be possible to do color treatments with a frequency generator such as Rife or Frex. All understanding of frequencies may help us with healing. Namaste, David PS. Guest guest
Yes, it's amazing what the poor guy went through. They had him on trial several times, and he beat them most of the time because they couldn't find anyone to testify against him--his system worked so good! Finally, when they began harassing the doctors that followed his system, the doctors quit testifying for him, and when the regular public tried they were told they weren't " qualified " . Same old story. So, anything hounded as much as his system was, you just KNOW has got to work. :-) But I have seen it do amazing things myself. Just last night I tried it on an ear ache I've had for a couple of days. I had a lot of wax I was trying to get out, and had been putting h2o2 in the ear. I guess I had put too much in, or because I had been using q-tips in the ear before the peroxide and had irritated the skin in the ear, the ear really started hurting. I ignored it at first, because it wasn't that much pain, but then it got so I couldn't even touch the ear. I knew it had nothing to do with the ear drum because if I pulled the ear out from the side of my head I had perfect hearing, but without pulling it, I couldn't hear out of it, and it felt like I had cotton in the canal, and then it really started hurting behind the ear deep inside. I'm not much one for pain and that whole day it just hurt too much. So, when I went to bed I put an orange filter in the lamp and set the lamp so it shown on my ear, and in less than 10 minutes all pain was gone. After a while I could feel draining in the ear, and when I shut the light off and rolled to my other side, I could feel liquid running out my ear! This morning all pain is gone unless I push on the outside of my ear. So I will use the orange light again sometime today to get the rest of the gunk or whatever, out of the ear. Amazing, huh? Guest guest
Thanks. Is the other group you got this from about color healing? I just finally got Dr. Babbit's book for a Christmas present!! I had been looking for it in the used book stores, but could never find it till just last month. It's the reprint, and they have left out a lot of repeated stuff, and things that they know are no longer true. But that's ok because they said that his original book was over 1200 pages long! Lol But they kept everything pertinent to color. Dinshah proved that Babbit's theory about color and the colors themselves were slightly off, and Dinshah's system has quite proven itself over time to be correct. It's a fascinating subject. I'm trying to learn more about the cross-over of color, minerals and sound. Dinshah touched on them, and listed which colors went with which sound frequency and minerals (and why they did so). I'm not musically inclined :-) so that's a bit harder for me to understand, but the mineral part is easy. Spectro-Chrome is just a terrific, successful method that costs very little. I am going to go and visit the mentioned below to see about the Chromaray though. Thing is, Dinshah was VERY specific that colors had to be just so--had to be the correct shade, and everyone's monitor is a bit different, so I don't think anything sent over a monitor would be the exact shade needed. On the other hand, many people (even Dinshah in the beginning) have had good success using different shades of the " special " colors when the special colors weren't available. So the Chromaray will be interesting to see. I feel VERY fortunate to have an original Dinshah S-C machine. I had just found his Let There Be Light book, and was studying it before I had even ordered my filters, when I was downtown looking in an antique store. There was this big wooden box and it had these thick colored sliding glass plates in front of a hole in the front of the box. I thought " this can't be " , but sure enough, it was an original Spectro-Chrome machine!!!! I could not believe my fortune. It even still had the little instruction book. We plugged the machine in and even the old, huge light bulb still worked!!! I was so terribly excited. It was like this was a sign telling me that this color system had a place in my life's healing work. I bought the machine. I have used it, though it's a bit aquard to use, because it can't be tilted. It was one of his cheapest models. He made many versions of his machine so that everyone could afford one. The expensive ones were metal boxes and on stands so that they could be tilted and raised and lowered. This one would just set on a table or, from the photos I saw, came with a small wooden table. Mine doesn't have the original table with it, but the glass slides are ones he specifically matched. I don't use it now because I want to keep it just to show people when I give lectures. Actually, the new mylar filters work just fine and take up hardly any room at all. You can keep a whole set of them in a small folder, and make a filter holder out of cardboard to fit around a clamp on light. Simple. Guess I'll go later today and start that on Spectro-Chrome. Samala, Renee ---- Hi Renee, Here are some posts from 6 months ago on color from another group. The first one is my answer to their questions:

Guest guest
Nothing at all. Yes, I could feel a slight amount of heat because I had it sort of close to my ear. But I have used it as a full body " wash " at the foot of my bed, and still the color system works. It has nothing at all to do with heat--it is all about the color. You can't imagine how fast it works (sometimes--chronic things take a while, just like any other protocol) until you try it. Besides, the orange color stopped the pain in less than 10 minutes, whereas previously that evening I had put a heating pad directly ON the ear, for over 30 minutes. And while the heat felt good on the ear, it did nothing to relieve the pain nor unstick the way, nor release the fluid. Ten minutes under the orange and all that happened. Samala, Renee--I'm working on the now. Should be ready tonight or tomorrow. ---- Just wondering how much the *heat* from the lamp had to do with it...
