Guest guest
I'm not sure if I already posted this. If I have, please ignore and just post the original request for help.. Thank you I am sending this out to all the " health and natural alternative groups " I belong to, in hopes that someone will have some suggestions on what I can do to help with some of my issues. I know that I will probably get all kinds of different answers since some of the groups I belong to are involved with essential oils, some are with alternative medicine and some, are directly related to anxiety and panic disorders. I am unaware if there are specific groups for the other health issues I have, but I thought I'd start with those I've read about most. I have read many posting from all of these groups. I don't always post, because I am usually looking for answers to my own questions and problems and many times I find them. I also realize that every single person is different and what works for one does not always work for another. So I am open to suggestions and will hopefully chose the right method for my health issues and me. Some of you with the essential oils groups have heard from me in the past. However, I did hot get a lot of responses, so I am hoping that this time around maybe since the convention that many of you have gone to, or possibly seminars or workshops in your own areas you may have picked up some info that could help me. As I said I am open to all suggestions and hope that I get a lot of responses to try or to research for my own health issues. Here is what I am dealing with: 1.) Borderline Type II diabetes (high blood glucose in mornings and right after eating feel as if I can't stay awake) 2.) High Cholesterol (was 265, came down to 197, now back up to 206) Can't seem to find the right combo to keep it where it needs to be. I don't even know what they consider " normal " anymore… 3.) Overweight… I have lost 40 lbs in the last 2 years (after having a back injury in 1998) I cannot do strenuous exercise, but I tend to lose 2-3 lbs, then gain 4-5 lbs back… I can't seem to break this pattern. It is taking me forever to lose the weight I need to lose. I gained 60, lost 40 but according to the health charts need to lose at least another 20-30 lbs. I try to eat smaller portions, not eat late, walk on treadmill each night (but not very fast, can't run etc)… I don't know what else to try. I believe that if I can lose more weight, it will help the diabetes at least somewhat. 4.) Anxiety and Panic attacks.. They seem to be more under control since being on medication, but would rather control it a more natural way. Life is stressful, when I get upset or don't get enough sleep the night before, the anxiety seems to be worse. 5.) Back injury in 1998 has left my legs with numbness from the knees down (but still able to walk….. but very carefully) even with the numbness I have sharp pains that shoot from my toes or top of foot… I've been told that I have peripheral neuropathy, whether it is due to back injury (which I think it is because I've had the symptoms since the day of the accident and it hasn't gone away, it has gotten worse), or if it is from the diabetes.. either way I would like to know if there is anything to try for the neuropathy in my legs. Well, I think these 5 topics are the worst of my health issues… Others that bother me from time to time is nausea and headaches, especially when I have anxiety or under stress. Again, I am open to any and all suggestions and help from others who have had any of these issues, what they did, how long, how much etc… as much info as you are willing to share. Thank you all. I hope to hear from you and look forward to hearing what you have to say. Health and Blessings to all of you in the New Year! Gail
