Guest guest
you can research both herbs by just typing the names into the address bar of your computer. Remember these herbs have been used to heal way before allopathic medicine came about. Research the dosages also. Black cohosh was used by the American Indians with good results for many ailments. Guest guest
No, I have been using both for many years and I have no health problems. I don't use anything for an extended period of time, only when needed. If you can remember where you read about the brain damage and liver damage, please let me know where. (Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen also cause liver damage and kidney damage and aspirin can cause internal bleeding, so it is always best to use anything in moderation. Pharmaceuticals cause all kinds of damage. It is wise not to mix pharmaceuticals with herbs. Use one or the other.) Between the two I will take my chances on herbs that God put on the earth for the healing of mankind as it says in the Bible. I am healthy and very active at 69 going on 70, no problems, no prescriptions needed. I work circles around younger people and am still raising the children of my children and grandchildren with out any help. They are all healthy and have used herbs for minor ailments with much success. Peace, Thyme
Guest guest
I have had severe back pain, which I think is going down the sciatic nerve. The chiropractor didn't seem to fix it. I read on here about black cohosh and passionflower. I bought them both. Now I see where people have posted on the internet that black cohosh can cause liver damage, and trouble with the brain. Has anyone heard of these side effects? Thank you.
Guest guest
It has long been known that Tylenol or acetaminophen causes Liver Toxicity. The body can't rid itself of it so it stores it. Ibuprofen has more recently been found to also be toxic to liver, brain and kidneys. Aspirin used to come from White Willow Bark. Aspirin on an empty stomach can cause bleeding and gastric issues. Just like some herbals if used improperly can also cause damage. St. John's Wort is known to cause brain hemorrhage if taken with other prescription anti-depressants. Hoodia can cause death and other issues, just like Ephedra IF you take too much. Valerian Root can cause over dose if too much is taken...and so forth. When taken properly issues are less likely. Guest guest
Black Cohosh is not recommended for pregnancy is all I know about it. Find a Structural and/or Biofeedback Therapist to work with that issue. Will a difference. I've been to Chiropractors for over 30 years and none of them could get my hips lined up, the sciatica to go away or make me pain free. Between both I am.
