Guest guest
Hello! I'm new here! My mother sent me here... My name is Laura, and I am 18 years old. For about a year now, I have been experiencing pain outside of the entrance of my vagina. It is a burning pain, which I only feel when my boyfriend and I attempt to have sex, or the area is touched. I have also noticed that certain soaps irritate it, such as liquid scented soap. Around the beginning, I found that whenever I had sex, and it would hurt, I would get bladder infections. Now I don't really get them anymore. I have been to two doctors, my family doctor, and a gynecologist, and neither of them can figure out what is wrong with me. The gynecologist gave me a medication that is supposed to numb it (I haven't tried it yet), and made the decision to try going off of the pill. My family doctor also had me switch pills, from Alesse to Tri- Cyclen, thinking it might of had something to do with the estrogen, but it has done nothing. Thanks in advance for any help!! I will be very greatful if anyone can help =D!
Guest guest
Not having enough lubrication can cause pain. Nonoxyl-9 a spermacide can cause allergic reaction or sensitivity. When I was younger we found out the hard way about that. It would feel like cinnamon oil burning down there. This can cause buring and yes bladder infections from the irritation. I had to stop using any form of birth control that had that ingredient and found and a lot of lubricants except Eros and K-Y Jelly, also contain Nonoxyl-9. Guest guest
Until you find the root of your problem there are analgesic ointments ( lidocaine) that will help. Get a script from the dr..it really does numb the area which may enhance your sexual longevity as well for him..if some of the ointments is transferred to him.....but I would continued to seek out the root of the problem. I have used it occasionally for the same problem and I never leave home without it for any of my superficial pains..and yes it is safe for intimate areas ..just don't go near the eyes... Guest guest
Hey... my boyfriend and I had used lubrication... and it still burnt. I think we used both astro glide and likely KY Jelly. I was also prescribed a numbing gel but I forget the name of it now... something with 'caine' in the end.. Thanks guys =) Anyone else have any ideas of what it may be? Laura, This may be a condition called Vulvodynia. Google it and you'll find a ton of information and support groups. Since this is such an emotionally loaded issue, you might really want to look into Emotional Freedom Technique to help treat it.
