Mycoplasma

Hi all.

My son had mycoplasma pneumonia a few months ago. He was treated at the

time with zithromax and seemed to recover completely. My concern is the

possibility of lasting effects. Are you all aware of any further natural

treatment that I need to employ to be sure he has no lasting effects?

Thanks. Sarah

If I were you, I would concentrate on building up his immune system. Something

like total

nutrition would definitely help. Check the files for recipes. Vitamin C is

another thing to

add. You should also look into a whole food, organic diet that limits sugar.

From personal

experience, my children haven't been sick (three years) since we switched to

organic,

whole foods with no juice or soda and very little sweets. The book " Nourishing

Traditions "

is what I try to follow. The latest thing I have added is kombucha tea and my

kids really

like it.

Minocycline, a tetracycline, is used for RA and related diseases except

doxycycline for SLE, Erythromycin for pregnant women and for JRA.

As I posted previously, there have been physicians who believed a bacteria or

virus caused the so-called autoimmune diseases and not that the body went

bezerk.

Mycoplasma burrows deep and is very difficult to find. Chlamydia has also been

identified as a cause.
