Guest guest
I have a large hematoma above my right knee that formed following martial arts practice (though there was no apparent sign of trauma to the knee). First an egg-sized lump, then grew to the size of a cantaloupe. During ER visit they tried draining it without much luck. After 10 days most of the swelling has moved down to the calf and ankle area but there is still a persistent and very painful fist-size lump right on top of the patella. Feels like it's ready to burst. Can't bend knee beyond 60 or so degrees. Have not had a full night's sleep for almost two weeks. Tried icing, gentle massage (too painful for more vigorous massage), elastic bandage, homeopathic remedy (Arnica montana 30ch), Chinese balm (like Tiger balm) to stimulate blood circulation in the area. Taking Ibuprofen 400-800 mg a day for pain. Need advise. Anyone have anything I can go on? Thank you!
Guest guest
I would go to a Doctor with this. It could be a blood clot which is nothing to fool with. Peace, Thyme
Guest guest
This message comes from my " booth " OK? This might be a case where " Recovazon " applied both topically and internally, is really helpful. Recovazon originated as a post combat formula used by Shaolin Martial arts monks. How appropriate! Recovazon is a herbal formula that is anti-inflammatory, helps with pain, and stimulates lymphatic circulation. All I can say is: try some. Money back if it won't help. Gosh, those MLMs are so evil. Ask me for the " Recovazon file " off list. ienvan
Guest guest
Find yourself a stationary bike. Turn off all of the resistance. Then, slowly, very slowly, turn the pedals forward as far as you can go without pain, stretch but do not go into pain. Then, turn the pedals backward to as far as you can go with out pain. If you can do this twice a day for 10 minutes. Once will do but twice is better. Do this until you can get all the way around forward and back. Don't push though. Once you can get all the way around comfortably go 5 minutes in each direction. Or, 3,2,2,3 or any combination that works for you to 10 minutes. Work up to 20 minutes. Also, find a bench high enough that your legs dangle and do not touch the floor. Swing the bad leg reaching for straight out and fully compressed again do not go into pain go only as far as the knee will let you. Guest guest
Hi, Try Homeopathic Magnesium Sulph 200 (Not MP) 1 dose bedtime daily till it clears. No harm trying. You can also try Lipoma Chinese frequency therapy as available in FREX 16 ==================== jsasvarix wrote: > I have a large hematoma above my right knee that formed following > martial arts practice (though there was no apparent sign of trauma to > the knee). Guest guest
Thank you all who took time to consider and respond to my request about my hematoma. My condition has improved significantly over the past few days. Now I am able to sleep through a good portion of the night without major pain. Icing, Arnica Montana, rest, very careful exercise, cold (vingar) poultice, Ping On, and my wife's loving care have helped a lot. Ieneke: I am currently going through the Recovazon file. I will probably have some questions later. Dolores: Yes, I will be using the stationary bike in the rehabilitation process (others have suggested this as well, and I believe it to be a great tool!) - I just need to borrow one from a neighbour Thyme: I have already seen two doctors. This is not a blood clot situation. Thank you for your concern. Medmidas: Homeopathic Magnesia Sulphurica, as far as I know, is not for this type of problem. Am I missing something? I am also not familiar with " Lipoma Chinese frequency therapy " or " FREX 16 " . Could you please elaborate a little more? I am very interested in learning more about these concepts. Thank you! Jenny: Thank you for the Carrot Poultice idea! Sounds great, and I will try this as well.
