Guest guest
Is this a diagnosis by a health professional? Preeclampsia is very serious. I hope she is under the care of a board certified obstetrician. Denise > Hello all, does anyone have any experience with treating preeclampsia > with natural methods? Guest guest
If you are not getting enough protein (80 to 100 grams per day), and if you are not getting enough calcium/magnesium, your liver cannot function properly, and the tissues of the body begin metabolizing themselves to provide for your protein needs, specifically kidney tissue. Some of the protein that is broken down is excreted into the urine, which is why there will be protein in the urine. Blood pressure and edema (swelling) are due to poor mineral balance, specifically calcium/magnesium imbalance. 80 to 100 grams of protein each day. Natural prenatal vitamin supplement. Make sure it is not the drug store variety, as these are almost always synthetically produced and are not broken down absorbed well by the body. The vitamin should also contain some digestive enzymes and hydrochloric acid, since many women do not have enough HCL in their stomachs to break down a vitamin tablet. DO NOT restrict salt intake. When salt intake is restricted, the placenta may grow slowly or not at all. Your body cannot make enough new blood for you and the baby without adequate salt. Salt restriction can actually cause high blood pressure and swelling, rather than prevent them. Use sea salt Drink plenty of fluids, AVOIDING coffee, tea, or soft drinks of any kind that have sugar, artificial sweetners, or caffeine. Caffeine overstimulates the glands that regulate blood sugar, and is implicated in birth defects, miscarriages, and infertility even with moderate use. Drink at least 64 ounces of filtered water each day, along with fresh (NOT bottled or canned) fruit juices and herbal teas.
Guest guest
My daughter had signs the month before she delivered. I put her on the SCIO and did the subsconscious choices her body was asking for. She stopped having problems and had a healthy baby. Guest guest
I had this with my first son. I was not put on any meds and the thing my OB told me was to take it easy, not stress too much, lay down whenever possible and no sex. Try hearing that news on Valentine's Day! I was 4 months though when I found out. It can turn by itself actually, just must be monitored more. Mine did turn to where it did not end up covering the cervix and was just to the side. If they say that she has to be put on meds, then that is news to me as I did not have any. Guest guest
preclampsia is because of a magnesium defiecency. what ever you do - DO NOT take any tums, rolaids ect. for heartburn! It leaches the magnesium out of your body! I found out the hard way. My doctor told me to take Tums/Rolaids because I had really bad heartburn my last 2 months of pregnancy. then I ended up getting preclampsia because of it. Luckily I had a friend who knew a naturalpathic doctor who helped me. I stopped taking antacids and started taking papaya enzymes instead. I also noticed that my prenatals did not have the recommended magnesium/ calcium for pregnancy... I ended up drinking a lot of green juices fresh from the juicer and switching prenatal vitamins and although it did not completely reverse my preclamsia, it did slow it down enough to deliver my baby in the 37th week just barely making it to term.
