Guest guest
Elderly woman age 91 has developed eczema over the past year. She has been to the Dr. and allergist with no help. She has tried almost every cream, ointment, antihistamine on the market and no long term help. She has had 2 kenalog shots this year. She has tried many home remidies and prescribtions. She doesn't take many prescriptions only two. She takes multivitamin and calicum. Any suggestions would be helpful..
Guest guest
While in Hawaii on vacation, we learned about a cream with natural herbs that seems to give relief. The name is Kukui cream and can be ordered from Oils of Aloha. Worth a try, but maybe because of her age, her condition is resistant to treatment? carolyn91012 <tx30323 wrote: Elderly woman age 91 has developed eczema over the past year. Guest guest
Hi, There is a 999 Anti-Inflammatory & Anti-Fungal ointment, very good for eczema. If you can find a local chinese drugstore, they should have it. you can also find it on ebay, about 3~5 bucks. Guest guest
If her doctor will okay it and she can find one for usage an infrared sauna will help clear it. It will take several days' treatment but it is known, and i've experienced it first hand, to work fast! , Eandrew T <eandrewt2000 wrote: > > While in Hawaii on vacation, we learned about a cream with natural herbs that seems to give relief. Guest guest
To anyone who has eczema. I have had it since I was 2. I stopped using ANY product that contains petroleum, lanolin or mineral oil. So many people with eczema think slathering on lotion is the answer- when really it will make it worse in the end. You can find lotions without these products in them. At first you will feel like your body is having almost withdrawel like symptoms and then you will get to the point that you almost don't have to use lotion at all. I also stopped using anti-perspirant. I know it sounds a little gross, but your body is made with sweat glands for a reason! If you can't get those toxins out one way they will come out another. Of course- lifestyle and diet are a whole nother issue, but stay away from petroleum (side note- petroleum is usually the base for most eczema medicines) Also- stay away from sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate in shampoo. Also- I'd love to know how many people with eczema have colon problems. Once again- if the body is absorbing toxins in the colon and can't get them out properly it will get out some other way. Candida issues are another big one that helps to take care of. Sorry-it kind of sounds like I'm ranting, but it took me 16 years of doctors and steroid creams with no results and two years with a good chiropractor and herbalist (and a little research) to completely cure my problems. Good luck!
Guest guest
Eczema is usually caused by either a clogged up colon or liver. I would suggest using In-Liven probiotic superfood (www.goodskinforlife.com). Many have overcome their eczema with this and it will certainly help her to have regular bowel movements which I would bet she needs as well. At her age (my grandma's 93 so I know the territory!) the bowels rarely function well. Probably the multi- vitamins would cause further problems unless they are a very good quality and in liquid form. With In-Liven she will fix her bacteria imbalance and fill her body with nutrients and all the amino acids necessary to build proteins. A study was done about eczema and bacteria and improvments were made using good bacteria (probiotics). Healing usually takes place quite quickly. Most people I know see results within a few days to a month maximum. Avoid sugar and chemicals, scented laundry soaps, dish soaps without gloves, etc. and use as much organic produce as possible. I would also use some essential fatty acids like cod liver oil, hemp oil, borage, evening primrose, black seed, etc. Use a larger amount than on the label for several months, even up to triple. This is food and she cannot overdose although she should increase it slowly, not all at once. Email me for extra files about the In-Liven and correct amounts to be taking. Guest guest
What kind of soap -- or " soap " -- does she use, or anything else that contacts her skin? The vast majority of " soap " you buy in the store is petroleum-detergent. I make my own real lye soap, and have heard of many cases of eczema and other skin problems that have cleared up when they started using real, natural soap (without synthetic colors and fragrances). Guest guest
I once advised an elderly woman with eczema on her legs to tear up an old sheet into strips and soak them in very strong calendula tea and wrap her legs with the strips every morning or evening, whichever was more convenient. She was thrilled when the eczema started to disappear and healing had started after a couple of weeks. I also advised drinking 3-4 cups of the Calendula tea as well. Eczema is caused by an allergen. Find what the culprit is and eliminate it. My son was allergic to cow milk and had eczema on arms, legs and cheeks. Switching him to goat milk solved the problem. Has anything new been added that is ingested or near her body? Letting her have a short sun bath daily would help also even if it is only in front of a large window. Guest guest
Yes i have to agree with Joy. Most of the time the main culprit for causing such conditions is one particular chemical found in a certain product you are using. Don't forget lots of exercise, fresh water, and a healthy diet, but certainly natural bodycare is the only way to go. I would suggest a natural soap bath/ shower, dry off completely, then while still damp, rub a body oil into your entire body. This simple practice will have excellent results especially during the dry cold months. Here's a link http://sensatia.com/body_en/body_oil/meditation.php I hope this helps. Guest guest
Kukui cream would probably work. As long as it is the pure stuff without any added chemicals or un-natural preservatives. Kukui nut is pretty much the same as candle nut or macadamia nut, with different parts of the world having different names and slightly different species. good luck, Michael sensatia.com --- karam_mohmed2001 <karam_mohmed2001 wrote: > , Eandrew T > > <eandrewt2000 wrote: > > > > While in Hawaii on vacation, we learned about a > cream with natural > herbs that seems to give relief. Guest guest
the superfood probiotic idea is a good one. this condition is generally caused by lack of friendly bacteria and candida overgrowth, thus a fungal problem. Also omega 3 deficiency. She should also be taking 1-2 g C, magnesium and potassium not just calcium (actually bananas are loaded with mg and K). Humans don't product vitamin c as do most other mammals. yes we are mammals!!!!!! matt Rev. Matthew M. Guest guest
I have to jump in here with this comment. The skin is an organ of the body and within it is an elimination system of its own known as the sweat gland. When the elimination systems are not functioning properly, you will have all kinds of issues. Ezcema is one of them. Get the body's elimination system cleaned out and functioning. EFA's, amino acids, minerals, enzymes etc and you will see a noticeable difference! De-stress the body. In the mean time you can use Extra Virgin Olive oil as a moisturizer and soother. It is natural and doesn't plug the pores. Guest guest
Hi all... I'm kind of a newbee to this group...but I do have a solution to 'eczema'. I have had psoriasis for years and nothing seemed to help. I used MG217 for awhile and it helped but was never completely gone. About a week ago I got some carbolated salve (from Watkins) and now...7 days later...I can hardly see my psoriasis that was so bad. I'm SURE it will be gone very shortly. I am so happy to have found this product. I enjoy reading all the posts...kathleen -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 1840 spam emails to date.
