Most people on this list will know

that antibiotics have side effects.

They kill good bacteria along with

the bad ones. So we must take probiotics

to get the intestinal eco-system back

into balance.

Someone on another list sent this helpful

hint on how best to take them.

Hi,

There's a scientist, Nigel Plummer (?), in England who did testing while

people were taking antibiotics. The best way to prevent problems is to

take the probiotics about mid way through the time between antibiotics.

If the antibiotic is taken every six hours, say, then you would want to

take the PRObiotic around hour three. His test results say that, yes,

most of the probiotic is killed off but if this mid-dosing is done, the

bad microbes like yeast never get a foothold in the digestive system.
