I like stinging nettle for this and it is in a highly effective

tincture by Herbs Etc called Allertonic. I am even comfortable

giving this to my children in half dose yet it is still highly

effective after about 2 days consecutive use. They have capsuls and

tincture. Because the tincture is easier to digest and absorb I like

that over the capsuls. If you anyone is interested I can give you

the phone number to the company however, you may be able to obtain

it through a local health food store. I paid $11 for 1 fluid ounce

that lasts my family about a month or so depending upon our issues.

We have been using this tonic about 2 years.

Wow......that is a popular subject this past year... there are formulas in the member contributions files, also under DrIanShillington and in the message archives... have a look. Herbal snuff is a good one.

Best bandaid would be the snuff formula in the files. You've also got some serious cleansing, diet changes, and most likely an exercise program to do. We need more data on your overall lifestyle though to fine tune that. ;o)

For sinuses I made a super tincture for my mom and ex. Or maybe it should be called a congestion formula. Eyebright, nettles, cayenne, peppermint, ginger root, turmeric powder, Elecampane root, horehound, garlic acv, astragalus/echinacea root mix and Im pretty sure that's it. :/ I am listing the ingredients from memory.

What I did was have them take the tincture, a tbsp, in a cup of hot water with a little lemon juice to help break up congestion. Take a few times a day. It really worked great for them both.

All of the ingredients above are equal except for the peppermint, ginger, and astr/ech mix. So to a tincture bottle add 1 tb each and 1/2 tb of the others. Josh wasnt sure if it was allergies/sinuses or what and nothing simle would work for him; he and my mom are prone to sinus infections, hence the infection-fighters, etc. My mom only had to take 2 doses to clear up a sinus infection that was bad for days. Josh hasn't had sinus problems since using and he works around all sorts of a dust. probably a coincidence but worth noting.

I also put some rock salt in the bottom of an empty liptube container. I added a few drops of eucalyptus, one drop thyme , one drop peppermint. I covered it with a cotton ball and closed. It is now a mini inhaler for sinuses and can really help clear up as part of an adjacent therapy.

I told them to take a vit e and vit c capsule with the tincture, as vit e helps rebuild damaged sinus tissues/lung tissue.

Josh also did something else that worked - fill a nose saline bottle (can buy and clean from stores for 89 cents). Fill with a little salt and water and put on nose, really cuts through clogged sinuses.

Just some thoughts

A cleanse will help . However, I have noticed that since I have been taking my Total Tonic, Panther Piss every day that my sinus's are not anywhere near as bad as everyone elses... and mine are usually worse... I am taking lemon egg and echinacea plus.. but I forget them sometimes... so I would say it is the TT and PP that are doing the trick.. plus I just did an intestinal cleanse #1.... which also helped...

Yes Suzi's above post is right, esp if trying to prevent infections. The tt has garlic and cayenne to fight, as well as other things that work on congestion and immune building/tonics.

steam with garlic and onion. Just cut up two or three garlic cloves and half an onion. Pour boiling water over it. Cover your head with a towel to make a tent and breathe it in. I had blocked sinuses for about a month and once I started doing this, they started draining. Also eat lots of garlic as prevention. Peppermint essential oil is also great. Just sniff it from the bottle or put a few drops on a light bulb. Also, peppermint tea.LightofYeshua wrote:

i used to use onions chopped up in the hot water and the towel over head. even chopping onions can really get the sinus cleared for a while. Also, the onion steam is very good for cleansing the pores if they are cloggged up.

Massive amounts of Vitamin A will help. Also if you boil some hot water and put it in a bowl and add some chamomile flowers to it (organic is better). You then put a towl over your head and breathe in the fumes from the chammile for 30 to 60 minutes.regardschristopher scipiohomeopath/natural healer

Vitamin A is one you can get too much of though. Unlike Vit C whichthe body will get rid of the excess fairly easily. I would recommend thatyou're careful with taking "massive amounts" of Vit A. Hey There

I do this too if I'm having sinus trouble. I also add 2 drops each of tea tree and eucalyptus essential oils to the steam. Works really well for me.

Persistant Sinus infections generally come from Fungus

growth. Use of herbal fungal relief remedies

persistently should help clear up. Also working on

removing from the diet anything that contributes to

fungus growth, refined sugars and starches, alcohol,

dairy etc will help to prevent reoccurances.

And/Or use Quantum Biofeedback that works too.

I would probably have chronic sinus problems if I didn't always flush

it out with salt water. Think about it -- all that dry, dirty air and

stuff roiling around in those bulbous sinus cavities... They don't

have very good outlets, it's not a straight tube for things to go

whooshing through without sitting awhile.

Most mornings, I get this uncomfortable feeling somewhere in the

region of where my nose and throat meet. While still lying down, I

tilt my head back a little more and squirt a few drops of the

chemical-free sterile saline solution for contact lenses (it's cheap

and lasts a long time) into my nostrils and let it run down into those

sinus cavities. It flushes things out in there, and after a few

seconds of snorting and blowing, out comes a little hard piece of

dried stuff, and that uncomfortable sensation is gone. 'Til the next

morning.

How did you get this in your body? Did you cook it,

eat it raw. Write back.

I always crack up when I think about when I convinced DH to swallow a

whole clove of garlic to stave off the cold he was coming down with.

Wasn't long before he was frequently burping big smelly garlic burps,

and with every one, he would give me this hilarious sidelong dirty

look... Far as I remember, he didn't get sick, though. :-)

Hi,

my mother was allergic to garlic, garlic even tiny amounts inducing burping.

Garlic even 1' away used to give burping.

Air bubbles, gulping air, acidity theory etc. is not applicable here.

She was also burping with fish oil caps.

Just suggestions that have helped in the past from a frequest sinus victim:

Eat a peeled yellow onion like an apple- also kills a cold.

Wasabi- can be mixed into tuna salad for sandwiches if the patient is not a

fan of sushi but a meal with ingestion of as much wasabi as possible always

seems to provide relief

Horseradish - the stronger the better

Personally the wasabi works best for me but these all provide some relief

depending on what is available to you.
