The sun showers 3 types of rays: 1) White light (visible) rays: The white light of the sun is made up of light of 7 different colors, as seen in the rainbow. Each color has it's specific effect on the body. 2) Infra-red rays: The rays impart heat. It relax and soothe the muscles, reduce swelling and relieve pain. 3) Ultra-violet rays: Vitamin D is produced in the body by the action of the ray on the skin. Deficiency of Vitamin D causes a disease of the bones known as " rickets " . Prevalence of skin diseases is greater among people who tend to keep their bodies covered. Sunlight promotes the proper formation of teeth, speedy growth of hair, and quick & deep breathing. It reduces blood pressure, improve kidney efficiencies and maintain Alkaline in blood. Pregnant woman can also get relief from the usual discomforts of pregnancy. Reminder: Do not over expose to sunshine, as it increases the chance of having skin cancer.
