I have a 3 year old who has problems getting urinary tract

infections. I know that cranberry juice helps and lots of water. We

are working on the potty training hygeine thing also. Does anyone

have any other suggestions to help take care of this problem so it

does not become chronic? Also any suggestions on molluscom? We are

using Dr. Christophers comfrey ointment which works pretty well, but

as soon as one spot clears up I find it somewhere else. Someone I

talked to suggested a spray that goes under her armpits that works on

viral stuff, but I don't remember and thought someone on here might

know something that would work.

Thanks-Whitney

have you tested for the standard pathogens? ifshe is ghetting one everytime

she turns around then it may be a constant which is something you need to be

aggressive with if you don't want to worsen her future.....

in the meantime an item called mannose is a cranberry chemical concentrate

that helps the pathogens not be able to adhere to the bladder walls.....give

this to her 24/7 until you are sure she is pathogen free. as someone who has

lived with years of agony over an ill treated bladder infection i urge

agressive attention.

The best thing for urinary tract infections that worked on my daughter was more

frequent visits to the bathroom. Children do not want to stop what they are

doing and will hold it forever. This causes bacteria in the tract and can cause

little tiny sores or tears which makes things worse. So we just took my daughter

every hour to hour and a half and as long as we did she had no problems.

taking a garlic supplement on a regualr basis can help, it acts as a

natural antibiotic. Also, try giving her a probiotic this replaces

the good bacteria in the body and will also help to combat UTI's.

Have her eat yogurt to get more live cultures as well.
