Guest guest
Thought I would chime in. Most women continue to believe that the word menopause refers to a long span of years. Actually, it is defined by a point in time. You " reach " menopause when 12 months have passed without a period. The many years leading to actual menopause are called " perimenopause " and can span 15 years or more of your life. In my groups, I have women as young as 32 already experiencing the hormonal imbalances of perimenopause. Thanks to xenoestrogens in our foods, products and the environment, what was once a brief transition can now be extremely challenging and last a very long time.
