Guest guest
Hello to all, Im a CMT in Calif. I have a client with gout in his big toe. He is waiting for blood work to come back about the uric acid in his system. I read about gout in an herb book and it says that it can be from an inbalance of PH in system. An acidic body. Can anyone give any feedback with any help and suggestions? Much would be appreciated from any. This client doent drink alcohol, rarely eats shellfish. Isnt on any meds other than aspirin or ibuprophen every now and then. Drinks lots of water, but he doesnt eat much fiber either, fruits or veggies. Thank you for any suggestions, Teri from Calif

Also my remedy is to drink chamomile tea with lime juice. 1 cup 3-4 times a day. You can also add sarsaparilla to this if you like. The other remedy I advise is to sprinkle celery seed on all your food every day.
Guest guest
Hi Teri, I had gout in my big toe a few years ago and read up on natural remedies then. I read in several places that eating sour cherries tends to help. So, for a while I ate 20 sour cherries each day. In a very short time the gout (which had been persisting for a while) was gone completely. It started to come back once and I ate cherries again and it disappeared and never came back after that. Guest guest
I have read that eating cherries supposedly will help pretty quickly with gout symptoms,. I have no personal experience with this though. claire - " TC " <tgrisler Monday, December 18, 2006 1:24 AM Gout in big toe > Hello to all, > > Im a CMT in Calif. Guest guest
Bing cherries work wonders. Even the canned ones. Have you rotated the toe? I have found that when I gently hold the toe with one hand and rotate and gently pull the toe that it helps the toe may be slightly out which can create the same symptoms. Guest guest
The idea is to get the gunk out of his system, and get his body alkaline. Since you said - not surprisingly - that he doesn't eat much greens, which is what will get his body alkaline, I would suggest progressively transitioning to a more alkaline & green diet. An easy way to do that is by making green smoothies (green for life book at www.rawfamily.com) They taste good and are very easy to make. Eating those will give him the greens and fiber he needs, and should help him to naturally reduce his consumption of meat, dairy and starch that are creating the problem. If I were him, I would add supplements to the smoothies, such as a green superfood powder, phytoplankton which has lots of alkalizing minerals and helps the body detox (you can get at wholesale price for just an extra $49: http://www.myforevergreen.org/tamaramessenger) If he is up for it, he could do a bowel cleanse and a liver/kidney cleanse with great benefit www.herbdoc.com Warmly Tamara replying to: Im a CMT in Calif.
