You can get it over the counter in a motion sickness med called Bonine. The % of the meclyzine in the Bonine is the same as what my doc recommended. It doesn't have any side effects that I noticed, and my doc said I could use as much as needed.
Guest guest
I was recommended gingko biloba for vertigo and it has worked really well for me. It has not done anything for the ringing in the ears, but that has been minor for me. As for exercise, there are specific exercises if your vertigo is diagnosed as benign positional paroxysmal vertigo. They are unbelievable easy to do for yourself and have worked miracles for my mother. You can read about them here: http://ivertigo.net/vertigo/vertherapy2.html With the ringing, however, I suspect you may have Meniere's rather than BPPV. This is rather more difficult to treat so I hope I'm wrong. many blessings, Liz , " Melanie Nu " <melanienu424 wrote: > > Good Morning Group-friends > > Does anyone know of anything (esp yoga or Tai Chi) that I can do to > decrease the ringing in my ears or the vertigo I was just diasnosed > with? Guest guest
Vertigo/Ringing Ears. I would seriously consider mercury to be a possibility here, as the above are two of the many symptoms of overexposure to Hg. This is most often caused by amalgam fillings. You can read more about it at www.amalgam.org . MSM is great for this, i generally suggest 1 g per day for every 2 fillings. Eventually you'll want to have them removed by a biological dentist. Frankly this is such a huge problem and so many people who have them can't afford to have them removed. The ADA it appears has finally run out of steam trying to cover this up after many years of promoting mercury fillings. The MSM really helps however. If also seen about 50 people with fibromyalgia and they all had amalgam fillings at one time or presently. I'd also consider candida as a possibility, these two go hand in hand and are accountable for many, many problems. peace matt Rev. Matthew M. Guest guest
Vertigo is dizziness caused by excess fluid in the inner ear usually. Find someone in your area that does ear coning. Look under Alternative Health in yellow pages( or some thing like that.) It helps a lot with both conditions. Gingko is supposed to help with ringing in ears. Take the tincture and the tea for best results. Medical dosage is 1 tsp. 3-4 times a day for tincture 1 cup 3-4 times a day for tea. Can add any other tea that you like for flavor. Peppermint, raspberry, ginger or whatever you like. For tea, bring pure water to a boil put in tea bags or herbs ( 1 tsp per cup if herbs) Turn off heat, cover and steep for at least 15 minutes. If herbs you can strain it into the cup. Best if you don't add sweeteners. Peace on Earth, Thyme

I was diagnosed by an ear specialist but an Ear Nose Throat specialist would do. It is too important to your ears/ hearing ( maybe health), to NOT seek the best, appropriate medical help. I'm being treated by reducing sodium intake in my diet and diuretics ( makes me excrete excess water...but also important mineral salts!). Trying detox teas esp. with dandelion ( natural diuretic). Not as effective as meds but more mineral sparing. Meclizine works but " snows " me for a day and a half! I'm also trying more head down yoga poses to ?maybe keep fluids moving and not settle in my ear??? Any questions you can e-mail me, Donna
