I did not see your original question, but I used to get extremely upset

with people who " borrowed " my things and then forgot that I did and they

claimed

them as their own, because they " used " to have one.

I have solved the problem by giving it away!

If I loan something, a spice, a pair of pinking shear scissors, a serving

platter, a bottle brush, a pair of earrings, etc. (to my sister!) and she does

this to me, I no longer get mad because I just go buy myself another one.

It has freed my soul.

I even buy her larger items on her birthday that I can see she needs, like a

vacumn cleaner or carpet shampooer, because she kept borrowing mine. I

didn't give her my old one, but the new one, too, on her birthdays. .

Now, no argument, no animosity. Just good feelings.

If possible financially, try it.

If it is a lost book, check out _www.bn.com_ (http://www.bn.com) or

_www.alibris.com_ (http://www.alibris.com) for hard to find books and get

yourself

a replacement. Let the offender know that you give them the book. Even

write out a gift card. Don't be sarcastic or mean. Have a pure heart first.

If someone accuses you of the same offense, say I'm sorry, but I don't

believe I have it, but try to replace it out of love. Then, they'll find their

missing one and may apologize. If not, don't be concerned. You did the loving

thing.

If I had every item I'd ever owned, loaned or borrowed in a store room, I

would be a miserable person. No one needs everything at once.

My friend Greg was executor to his great aunt's estate. He took a coffee

table she had mentioned she was leaving to him. Her other aunt got so upset,

that Greg let her have it, and then she died of a heart attack! Within a week,

her sister was so upset that she wasn't getting the table, she also died of

a heart attack.

It is not worth it!

I hope this helps some
