Don't miss this dynamic and entertaining presentation by Ken Cohen,

author, health educator, traditional healer and scholar of indigenous

medicine. Ken will share cross-cultural perspectives on the principles,

ethical values and practice of Native American medicine, exploring it

not as a thing of the past but as a living and still evolving tradition.

Interspersed with songs and stories, Ken will discuss how Native

Americans understand health and disease and the fascinating connection

between Indigenous and Western medical science.

At the end of the talk, he will sign copies of his book Honoring the

Medicine: The Essential Guide to Native American Healing, first place

winner, Best Health and Wellness Book in the U.S. (Books for a Better

Life and the National MS Foundation).

Although best known for his pioneering work in Chinesse healing arts

(The Way of Qigong), Bear Hawk has followed the " red road " of

Native American wisdom as his personal spiritual path for 30 years and

is an adopted member of a Cree family from Sturgeon Lake First Nation in

Canada. He teaches with the blessings and support of traditional elders

of many Nations, and is an initiate of the Red Cedar Circle and various

medicine societies.
