Guest guest
Hi,everyone. Perhaps someone knows whether Pilates Yoga can be used to help with p[roblems in the lumbar portion of the spine. My Chiropractor warns me against Pilates Yogta, saying because of my " thinned " spinal discs I could damage myself further. From what I have been told,as long as I take care NOT to compress the discs further, I should be able to do SOME form of beginning Pilates. My Chiropractor is an excellent one,but I fear that he is beginning to develop a severe case of " greed-i-test " and is only concerned with me returning again and again instead of rectifying the situation. The problem with the lumbar area of my spine again manifested two years ago ( almost to the week). I have dealt with him before that period ( back in 1988) At that time, X-rays were taken and the thin discs were in evidence. He was able to take care of the problem then. Now,it is almost as if he is rubbing his hands together in glee every time a patient comes in. Anyway, enough of my complaining and casting quasi-aspersions on his character, etc. Has anyone used Pilates for lumbar-spine treatments. What has been your experience/results?
