Guest guest
My son who is nine months, is teething pretty bad. I think hes getting two teeth at once. And they are his first ones. Ive heard different things saying fevers are/ arent common when baby starts teething. London has a fever of 101. Ive given him a fever/pain reducer and hes ok for about 3 hours and then hes right back where he was before he took his medicine. Does anyone have any kind of advice or ways we can help him sleep and eat? We would really appreciate it. Thanks, Tara and London
Guest guest
the dr. told me that unless the fever goes past 102 that it is normal. they also suggested alternating between motrin and tylenol every other dose and also cool baths often. to keep him comfortable you can freeze wet wash cloths and let him chew on those and try giving him one to chew on and a dose of meds about 30-45 minutes before putting him to bed. Guest guest
I am BRAND NEW to this site and am a baby beginner in regards to holistic medicine but I'd like to say both my children had fevers, spit up or vomit a bit and were not feeling well of and on when their teeth were coming in. My mom had 8 kids and she said same with all of us...so maybe it is normal. I know baby Tylenol is not holistic but it is what I used and it worked. ) Melody Schafer melored - Tara Monday, December 04, 2006 10:27 PM Baby's Teething My son who is nine months, is teething pretty bad. Guest guest
Yes babies can get fevers when teething. Mine all did. Oil of Clove is good for numbing the gums. Baby teething solutions. Give him something to teeth on. Cooling teething rings are wonderful. Or you can take a clean wash cloth, soak it clean water, ring out and freeze the rag. Then let him teeth on the frozen rag. Guest guest
These drugs can cause reactions that can be fatal. Betcha that the doctor didn't tell you that, did he? Tepid baths, arrowroot if they don't have a reactions and a warm blanket to help them sweat it out. Guest guest
Oh Teething what a time!!! my heart does go out to you. I have 3 children and they were all different - they all got fevers though. My oldest daughter cut 2 teeth at a time with hardly any fuss, my oldest son & youngest daughter had a terrible time cutting each and every one of them - along with Ice, teething rings ect I used Brauer Homeopathics I found them really good - they are an Australian Company and I am not sure if they export however here is the link to the info they have on teething http://www.brauer.com.au/symptom_results.asp? getTable=product & getPid=21 Not sure of your religious beliefs but I also found asking God to bless their gums a HUGE help. Hang in there it wont last forever.............. Regards Caroline http://www.alwaysnaturallygreat.com , Jenny Kernan <rainysnana wrote: > > Yes babies can get fevers when teething.
