Guest guest
Rick, I would absolutely love to be able to pick the brain of an MD who is aware of the interaction of precription medications and OTC herbs/supplements, AND who knows something about so-called* alternative medicine. As a matter of fact, I have a question for you right now. A dear friend was taken to hospital with a bleeding ulcer. She has also survived several heart attacks and open heart surgery, and is on anti-coagulant medication. The very best remedy I know for the stomach ulcer is Sangre de Drago. It is anti bacterial, anti-viral, anti-scarring, anti-parasitic, wound healing, and helps with pain. I have used it for first aid and am utterly amazed at its ability to stop bleeding and pain and to speed healing. It has a long history of safe use in South America for stomach and intestinal ailments. But would a herb like that interfere with the anticoagulants? How does the medical system deal with the need to stop bleeding on one hand, and the blood thinning on the other? Any response is sincerely appreciated. Always learning, occasionally selling, In friendship Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com * Building health with food and herbs has been around for thousands of years. How come it gets called " alternative " ?
