Guest guest
Dear Friends, My husband and I have experienced depression. We didn't like it! Our conclusion has long been that laughter is a huge PARTIAL answer! If we are able to laugh at the world -- and occasionally at our own ups and downs -- the battle is joined and significantly easier. Because of this I thought at least a few of you might benefit from a look at my hubby's humor site. We're both 72, and winding down. Ron, however, is a lifelong writer who still writes almost daily. He spent 20-plus years as a film and drama critic for Scripps-Howard Newspapers (UPI), then returned to school for his doctorates! He then practiced until recently as a clinical psychotherapist. He's an author of several books, although I do most of the correspondence. Of the site below, you might be interested to know that William F. Buckley and funny lady Phyllis Diller both praise it highly. What the heck, Take a look! And feel free to use any part freely as you wish, sharing with family, friends, on your own site, whatever, whenever. All we ask is that you retain the copyright info with anything you print or send. At our age, the big thing is merely having Ron's poetry shared with people who might enjoy and benefit from it. The site: http://worlds-premiere-ransom-note-factory.us/ Enjoy ... and love each day! Quoting my hubby: " To begin each day believing that the worst thing that will happen that day is that it will end! " Love, Donnalee
Guest guest
Donnalee, Thank you for sharing your husband's great works! I have browsed the site and read most of his lyrical satire and viewed the wonderful Nebula works. Very creative and a pleasure to learn of his talent. He certainly has much to say~! Sincerely, Susan NM donnalee6015 <donnalee6015 wrote: Dear Friends, My husband and I have experienced depression. We didn't like it! Guest guest
Three cheers for that one! We all take ourselves way too seriously. Let's start a new movement and call it " gelo-therapy " , after the Greek word for laughter. I swear that shared humor has kept our dysfunctional ADD family together. Susan, thanks, I am off to the website now. Grinning, Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com

Guest guest
Thanks Renee, Alas, I am on dial-up. Those streaming audio things are more hassle that they're worth, too bad!
Guest guest
Oh yeah, I know ALL about that. Up until last year I was on dial up. I'm in the middle of nowhere--actually, only 2 acres any direction from everyone else that HAS DSL--but I can't get it. No company will bring a line 2 acres away! So last year satellite was finally offered (wild blue) and I got it. It cost me $500 to get it installed, and NOW they are offering it for FREE! Grrrr but I would not be without it, now that I know how wonderful " fast " really is. :-) But it was a one minute healing. It was some sort of healing frequency hidden under--laughter! They had LOTS of different voices just laughing and laughing for one minute. It felt good just to listen to the laughter. Then they also had a 5 minute session, but even the one minute felt nice. Guest guest
I just realized: I have to dig it up and send it to my friend with Parkinson's. Will tell her we'll have to spend 10 minutes on gelotherapy.
Guest guest
Thank you, Susan, for the sweet comments. Our current project is alerting folks to the ease of forwarding the humor site link to loved ones in the military and away from home this joyous Christmas season. Many military Chaplains have joined our efforts. Do you think this should be mentioned at all here? Thanks, dear, and God bless you and all who suffer! Please keep the link handy in any event >> http://worlds-premiere-ransom-note-factory.us/ Love, Donnalee -- In , Susan <powitree wrote: > > Donnalee, > > Thank you for sharing your husband's great works!
