Just my two cents worth...I am a new member of this forum, which I enjoy reading

various peoples opinions and posts. I do have a complaint though. I have

encountered this problem in other forums and it has been addressed, although I

do not know if it has been addressed here as I have not gone thru the previous

posts.

I have seen that some people here seem to have vested interests in the products

they recommend. They are using this forum to market particular name brand

products which apparently they are selling. I think that should not be done

here....a product should be generically stated, not brand name stated and a link

is then given to the sales site. There are a lot of great products out there,

and produced here in the United States, as well as other countries. If a

particular product is recommended, it should be without the intent of it being

sold by that particular individual or company. It's just wrong. This should

not be a site top push their products. Other forums have stated likewise. Maybe

this should be addressed by the moderators.

I agree with you. All my other groups on & off do NOT tolerate

selling merchandise. I wish this group would also. I find that I am just

deleting

almost all these posts daily.

Hopefully the moderators will change this soon.

Hi Diane,

I think many on this group understand and agree with your concern, however,

I might pose this question to you: does not some person or company sell

virtually all of the books, information or products that are recommended in

these forums? I am sure you would agree that the answer is yes. What may

NOT be vividly apparent here are those that 'inform' under the guise of

uncompensated information. So then the question remains, what is the intent

and more importantly the integrity of this information and those who share

it here? Sure some are recommending information or products they do not

financially benefit from but does that invalidate the information from those

that do? We get tired of all the hype and pomp that accompanies the endless

ads for drugs and weight loss and even who has the cheapest magic vitamins.

May I suggest that we keep our focus on that which we seek. For some it is

to serve others. For some it is to share with others. For some it is to

sell to others (We ALL do this but that too is another discussion). And

still for others it is to seek information for their own benefit. Is it out

of integrity to make any of these your career? I do not believe so if your

intentions and integrity are for the true service to others. Remember,

doctors, nurses, pastors, police, missionaries, soldiers and even Andrew-the

owner/moderator of this Group all draw a paycheck for their efforts.

That's a GOOD thing!

I am here to learn from the vast wisdom of the members here and have done so

numerous times. I am also here to share about technology and products that

I believe will serve those that I share it with. Some of it I may

financially benefit from.some of it I do not. If I can make a career out of

serving you in this way, I can think of no greater career or purpose.

Keep your focus on that which you seek. If it is to seek knowledge, test

ALL knowledge that you find here (and everywhere) to make sure that it is

valid and genuinely shared by someone trying to serve you. If you seek

products or services to help you or a loved one then make sure it is

validated by third parties with appropriate research or science. Ask for

references or freely given testimonials of others who have had experiences.

If you seek to serve others here, then truly approach it with that in mind

and God will Bless you with whatever else you need. If you seek only to

sell your wares here for a profit, THEN I would suggest this is NOT the

forum for you.

I do represent products and technologies that I share with others here and

am proud of them, and the knowledge that others truly will be Blessed by

them drives me to making a career out of serving others in this way. I do

not currently make a regular living from the technologies that I share here.

I hope that says something about my integrity. Will it someday? I truly

hope so because that will represent how many thousands I have served

directly or indirectly.

There are lambs and wolves on every mountain. Everyone must choose their

mountain to climb. Learning how to avoid the wolves (and recognize wolves

in sheep's clothing) is how we survive to make it to the top.

Andrew, thank you for filtering out most of the wolves. To the rest of us,

remember lambs come in many colors. Keep on Blessing others.

May God Bless You!

I for one like the name brand, at least you can compare them and know that

that brand works. It is not selling to tell someone of a good brand there

are many bad brands of products out there and a waste of time. Kathy

Yes, a delete button is one of my puter's best features....however, I still

want to hear what others use and find good, even if they sell them...
