Guest guest
I'm new to this, but I'm tired of going to the doctor and being put on Antibiotics and then getting a yeast infection after. I've been feeling sick since Thanksgiving. The symptoms are, Headache, coughing, aching everywhere, sneezing, runny nose, sore throat. Is there anything I might have in the kitchen cabinet that I could mix up and try? Thanks so much for your input. Joanie

Thanks so much for your input. Joanie We need to see your kitchen cabinet! One of our favorite standbyes is a hot drink with lemon juice, honey, and as much cayenne pepper as you an stand. Fresh lemon juice is best, but the instant kind will do in a pinch, and apple cider vinegar works too. Of course drink lots of water, and rest...... sometimes a small illness is the only way we allow ourselves to get off the merry go round. Try the onion sinus opener for easier breathing at night. Cut an onion in half, place on a saucer on each side of your pillow. I got this one from my sister in Holland. Helen Slaughter tried it and she says it works! Hope you feel better soon. Guest guest
Hi Joanie- I just want to say that your doctor should not be putting you on antibiotics if you have a cold or the flu. These are due to viruses- antibiotics are for bacterial infections. Taking antibiotics when not needed can lead to antibiotic resistant bacteria, which is very dangeorous and can be deadly (to you and those you can potentially infect). The next time your doctor tells you that you have a cold or the flu, DO NOT take antibiotics, even if your doctor prescribes it to you. Doctors should not be prescribing antibiotics for viral infections... , " geminiwalker " <geminiwalker wrote: > > On 29 Nov 2006 at 15:36, Joanie wrote: > > > I'm new to this, but I'm tired of going to the doctor and being put > > on > > Antibiotics and then getting a yeast infection after. Guest guest
I would also reccomend taking frequent hot bathes with either a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil or eucalyptus bath salts. I tend to overdo the essential oils in the bath, but I would say about 10 drops for a whole bathtub full of water. This will not only help clear your congestion but it will also soothe and ease your thoughts. Some of our physical ailments come from the mental so using essential oils also helps on that level. Hope this helps and good luck. Have a great day, Michael R. Guest guest
Should that be the case, I would highly recomment the NETI pot adding a drop or two of Oil of Oregano to the saline/baking soda solution that usually comes with the pot, in addition to a little Colloidal Silver, which I, too, highly recommend. ....geminiwalker On 29 Nov 2006 at 22:24, Eman wrote: > Are you sure its a cold and not sinusitis? > > anitastearns711 <anitastearns711 wrote: --- In > , " Joanie " > <lildancinleaves wrote: > > > > I'm new to this, but I'm tired of going to the doctor and being put > on > > Antibiotics and then getting a yeast infection after. Guest guest
wasabe (the green japanese horseraddish you get with sushi)eat a big green blob of it until you cry cayenne pepper tea (be prepared to be in pain for about 5 minutes and have every bit of snot come out of your head during that time)... or if you seek a more gentle approach... take a drop of lavendar oil (make sure it is 100% essential oil) and put it on your finger... reach back in your throat where it hurts and rub it on there (try not to gag yourself)... it will get rid of sore throat fast... also can take 1 drop in hot tea and it will get rid of flu or cold naturally and gently... do that 3-4 times a day until the cold is gone... also if you like garlic: I kick out a cold with what I call a " garlic sandwich " toast some bread and put on butter or oil (no trans fat please) and slice several cloves of raw garlic on the toast and eat it... don't do if you are on blood thinners. I do all of these things and haven't had a full blown cold in a long time... best to nip it in the bud... but if you already are suffering from a full blown cold all of these will kick it in the booty. Guest guest
Pro-biotics support your immune system and are a proper alternative to Anti-B's. For the original issue, may I suggest 'Thieves' essential oil blend available from YoungLiving.com or Thieves Blend, available from Birchhillhappenings.com. This blend supports your immune system and destroys the virus, bacteria, etc. I'm not selling, I buy these oils from these sources. Guest guest
Elderberry has been used for centuries to fight colds. Try some elderberry tea, tincture, wine or however you prefer. I drink a tea with elderberry in it all season long and rarely get colds. Susan Cheap Talk? Check out Messenger's low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
Drink hot milk with a pinch of turmeric powder an hour before going to bed. This should make your throat feel better and reduce the cough and cold. Guest guest
Has anyone heard of using Hydrogen Peroxide in the ears for cold and flu symptoms? I recently read at mercola.com that this actually works! I am experimenting with my family this winter, lol. Joanie, work on building up your immunity system! Lots of vitamins and trace minerals that we no longer get fom our food is in order. -- Shana Clagg
Guest guest
Try a sea salt bath or a nice sea salt scrub. It helps your body remove toxins. Also lots of water to flush your system. And Oranges are great for kicking colds in the butt. Blessing Crystal
