Guest guest
I have a very dear friend who's body is going through crisis mode. I fear for her greatly. She has a condition called " physical urticaria " . Meaning she is allergic to hot and cold temperatures. Including going from indoors to out and taking showers. She is breaking out in hives all over her body which itches and is very painful to the point of crying. She is miserable. She has severe asthma and is being treated medically but it's a far cry from living a life of full breath. She has been diagnosed with pre-diabetis. She has IBS and a severe allergy to white flour and starch which binds her up. This woman strives to live a healthy life style. She exercises five days a week for 1.5 hrs faithfully for the last two years. This is over and above from spring to fall she swims and teaches aquacise. She takes a very good quality vitamin regimen. She uses many pure products and I give her a reflexology treatment each and every week. The lady is trying but her body is breaking down. As and added bonus she is going through menopause going through anywheres from 10 - 30 hotflashes in a 24 hour period. She is 55 years young. I'm hoping that some dear soul (or more) in this wonderful group will help shed some light as to what she can do holistically. Theraputic oils are out as she has very bad reactions to them. Obviously her body is chock full of toxins. Thank you for your time in reading this and your upcoming answers. I know there are so many needs out there. God Bless. Always ~ Kim
Guest guest
Kim, Several years ago I " suddenly " developed Multiple Chemical Sensitivities, I was reacting allergically to almost everything, including anaphylactic reactions to antibiotics. The doctors said I would be dead within 6 months. I turned to Homeopathy, as well as eliminating ALL chemicals from my life so that my immune system could heal. Natural hormones were also key. Even now when I start having a lot of symptoms I know my hormone level is too low. Good info on treating MCS holistically may give your friend some avenues to explore. I really feel for her and would be interested in updates. Blessings - Julie Kim <weeangel_99 wrote: I have a very dear friend who's body is going through crisis mode. I fear for her greatly. Guest guest
What is she teaching swimming in? Pool with chemicals..... ? Skin is one of the largest (and last) organs of elimination. One thing I would suggest is to bolster her kidneys, liver and pancreas with herbs that do not throw her into detoxification but are nourishing instead. Burdock would be a good one to start with to cleanse the blood. Guest guest
How awful for your freind I send blessings & prayers - has she tried Kinesiology? - I have had so many " Sub-Concsious " blocks removed via Kinesiology - they were actually manifesting themselves physically I had asthma (only very mild), I had skin irritations, dreadfully sinus & a few others. I am also in the process of looking at Zeolites - volcanic rock used for detoxing Heavy Metals - I haven't used them as yet so cannot really comment (I am waiting for mine to arrive) I have heard so much good about them and personally can't wait to try them - I believe they are shaped like honeycomb and attract all the Heavy Metals in your body - you then pass them. I will let you know how I go with them. With regards to menopause - I think different things will work for different people, however I have heard a good product is Soy - one that has not been treated - so she would need to find a good quality soy - not one that has been processed to death. She made need to shop around for a good Kinesiologist (I went to 2 different ones - the one I am with now is an absolute gift!!) I swear by Kinesiology - it has truly changed my life. I do hope some of this is help to your friend. Guest guest
Hi: I have had chronic hives (urticaria) for about 4 years now, but the heat induced ones. I would recommend www.chronichives.com which should lead you to the I have been a member of for years. Although medications help the best, many things are discussed, diet, natural cures, there are lots of links and good research there and is a very active group. Your friend can post there and find good people to help her. It is an infuriating problem and has different causes, can be autoimmune or allergenic. Have to try different things and see what works. What works for me won't work for you or others. You have to be a detective in this, histamine is implicated, and you need to reduce that in the body. Can affect the stomach too. Usually when my stomach acts up, so do the hives, and some people take an antacid to reduce histamine in the stomach along with prescribed meds. Lots of mast cell degranulation going on. I have tried some natural things with limited success. Querciten is good, and Hyland makes a 'Hive' formula which helps some. But be warned some herbals and natural products as well as food can cause a great deal of mast cell degranulation which help bring out the hives externally and sometimes internally. Mine is well under control now, after some hit and misses, but have to take medication, although a low dose. When I first got them, Benedryl was a great help, 4 doses a day. Have her read, read, read, and then do what works best for you. This also can be an 'acute' episode that lasts less than 6 weeks, probably an allergy trigger. But longer term, sometimes hard to pin down. Good luck Diane

Guest guest
Good Morning Kim, It sounds like there are a couple of things to adress with your friend. The first it would seem to me, is to get her out of the downward spiral. There is a tea called Esiak. It is phenomenal in cleansing, detoxifying and rebalancing most of the major organs. It comes in various formulations and under a couple of different names. The best by far, that I have seen is simply in a box of thirty individual bags. If you can find that (I believe it's from " Now " ), have her drink three cups a day until the box is finished. It costs about five dollars for the box. If you can't find it in that form, the second best is in a tincture. If you can't find it, please let me know and I'll locate some and send it to you, or directly to your friend. (of course, no charge) If you have any other questions or would like to discuss further, please write me directly. all the best, Rick Kim <weeangel_99 wrote: I have a very dear friend who's body is going through crisis mode. Guest guest
Good Morning Kim, This will be my post to this group. I think the tea sugested is a good idea. Also it sounds to me as if her body is energenticly unbalanced. If our Charkas are out of balance it will throw our bodys out of wack. Sometimes meditation to realin them helps. Also something to look into is if there is something emotionaly that is causing her body to react like this. Maybe some kind os energy work will help your friend out, maybe seeing a Reiki practioner. If you would like more info on Reiki let me know I would be more than willing to do what I can to help. Guest guest
Hi Kim, There are many good suggestions already. I'll try to add a few things. Stay out of the pool and get rid of all chemicals in the house. Miracle II products can help neutralize the toxins and get them out of the body (sold on e-bay). Then check out the vibe machine at http://www.vibemachine.com See if someone has one near you that you can use. It can reset the energetics on a cellular level. Other people and machines are available;it depends where you live. Laying on of hands, energy work and prayer groups would all be helpful. Guest guest
Hello David; Well I'm a reflexologist and work with her each week. Trust me...I've seen a lot of healing with just that alone. She was in the beginning stages of fibromialsia (sp) when I first started to work on her two years ago and her bowels were in a horrible state! We belong to a wonderful womans group in our little country church where we love each other dearly. There is much prayer that goes into and for her. She herself is such a blessing. Guest guest
Hi Crytal; Thanks for your post. I do know about energy healing and a bit about Reike and believe in it fully. I agree that her energies are out of wack and I working on them through reflexology at this point. Where she is my friend I've also told her to let go of a lot of personal hurts and baggage. She loves so many and holds on to their hurts as well as her own and she needs to find a way to stop. Thanks so much for posting. I appreciate each and every one. Guest guest
Hi Rick; What great information on the tea. I'm sure I can give the information to a local health food store that is owned by a wonderful lady. She is a blessing in our area and will help with any and all that walk through her doors. I'll definately look into that as well. So many great suggestions! Guest guest
Hi Julie; Thanks for the caring post. I'll definatly keep you all updated as much as I can. I know this is going to be a longish haul for her. She doesn't have many chemicals left as she uses products in her home and environment that are pure by nature although we all know that just breathing the air in a city could do damage to the best of us! Sad isn't it? It's neat that if we pay attention to our bodies that we can literally tell what is going on inside..whether we are in need of something more or we are getting too much of something else. Thanks for your interesting and helpful post. We are so grateful. The only doctor who helped me(I went to many!) was a dermatologist. I was put on very high doses of Prednisone for almost a year. That finally knocked it's socks off. If I had to do it over again, I would do a complete cleanse by juicing. Many toxins are present in a case like hers and she needs to get them out. The body is trying but it needs more help to get the job done quicker. She needs to keep herself cool temperature wise as this is a very " hot " condition and heat aggravates it. Stay out of the sun and hot tubs. Meditation will help her get into a calm state of mind. I am sure she knows by now that anything topical that has an oil or petroleum base will only make things worse. They just trap the heat and send it inward. I also helped myself get some relief using a spray of peppermint essential oil (a few drops) in some plain water. Add it to a dollar store spray bottle and spritz onto skin. Also use a mixture of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of cayenne pepper to help releive some of the itching temporarily. Put mixture in a small dropper bottle and take by the dropperful as needed. In the end, I was diagnosed as having Lupus and I have to be very careful and stay out of the sun and I have to keep cool and calm. I beleive this is a hormone related problem as well. I am about the same age as your friend. Please feel free to stay in contact with me if you would like to. It can feel like a very lonely and hopeless time for her right now. But this will pass! Guest guest
" Outside " ? Was it cold outside? My son has an actual allergic reaction to the cold (cold urticaria); whatever gets too cold swells and gets blotchy and bumpy. I'm hoping he's in the process of outgrowing it... Guest guest
Sometimes the easiest answer is right in front of our eyes, but sometimes not. After reading your post I have to ask, " what detergent or fabric softener is she using? " It may not be that simple, but it is just a suggestion. Good Luck! , " Kim " <weeangel_99 wrote: > > Hello; > > Well...she went outside with her poodle for five minutes and came > back in misory. She dropped her pants (scary in itself! Guest guest
Hey ya; She is using Watkins products for her cleaning, laundry and body products... which are quite pure. She can't even hang her cloths out on the line any longer. Everything has to go through the dryer. Always ~ Kim > Sometimes the easiest answer is right in front of our eyes, but > sometimes not. Guest guest
Hi Joy; Yes it was rather cool out that day but it can be any temperature change. Either hot or cold. She can go from one room to the next and if there is any degree of temperature change she'll have a reaction. I hope your son out grows it as well. His best chance is if he hasn't reached puberty yet. Always ~ Kim > > " Outside " ? Was it cold outside?
