Guest guest
My 7yo son apparently inherited the sweaty feet gene from my husband...this past week it was cold so he had to wear socks all week to keep his feet warm. We noticed that now his whole sole is peeling! It's not a fungus, it doesn't spread, hurt, itch or anything and my husband said he had this years back when he had to wear boots all the time. I've researched it and apparently it's from excessive sweating which is inherited. Does anyone know what to do for this? He's allergic to talc and powders so i'm really at a loss. Luckily it's warmed up again and no socks but i'm dreading the cold spell because I don't know what to do for him. It looks awful and he's in karate and it's rather embarrasing for him I think. Does anyone have any ideas-- herbal, oils or anything natural of course? Marci

Guest guest
Is he allergic to cornstarch? I used that instead of talc with my kids. One of mine went through a " spell " as a toddler, kept his shoes on even in bed! His feet also got irritated/red due to the sweating. I'm trying to recall what I ended up doing (he's now 17).... Guest guest
Try Pascalite in his socks. It is a powder, a fossil Bentonite clay with healing properties. One of those miraculous gifts that Nature pulls out for us now and then. As far as I know you can buy it online. http://pascalite.com Ien in the Kootenays http://freegreenliving.com
Guest guest
Thanks for the pascalite idea--it sounds perfect for his problem...he is allergic to any corn powder too so this is a SUPER idea. I have ordered some so thank you thank you! Marci
Guest guest
First thing I think of is the fiber content of the socks (synthetics, dyes?), and any chemical residues that might be on the socks -- from detergents, fabric softeners, etc. I wash my laundry in natural lard soap that I make (it's not difficult) ever since my son kept getting skin rashes from petroleum detergents. Guest guest
Another suggestion on the sweaty feet: Try Reflexology. I don't know how it works to get rid of the syndrome, I just know it does, at least for some people. Worth a try, and harmless if it doesn't help!
