Guest guest
Hi. I have alot of issues with colon infections and I found that the probiotics like the stuff found in Activia yogurt and acidophilis pills help me the most. (Please don't disheart me). I joined this group today, November 27, 2006 because I loved it. I have been suffering from severe stomach problem for about 3 years or more. It started with heartburn, then gradually developed many digestion disorders, and resulted in chronic constipation and pain in stomach. The pain seems to be like an infection or as if hit by a bullet or knife inside below the last rib above my heart. after I eat, it starts producing pain in 20 to 40 minutes. and also causes severe gas trouble. It finally results in abdominal wind and swelling like situation and creates restlessness. I visited a couple of doctors but they couldn't properly diagnose the problem I think. They say it's only gas problem and no unlcers etc. But I am dam sure it's an ulcer as I feel a lot of pain in my stomach and abdomin. I usually have to take Omeprazole and Famatodine etc to soothen the pain but they are not good in reducing the problem or they but no permanent results. What I need is a solid advice and/or tips or medicine names that can help eleminate the problem. It (The medicines I take and the diet which prohibits me to eat specific food) has also affected my sex to some extent as well. I will an anxiously be waiting for your kind and honest comments. Guest guest
I have to say that what you are describing sounds awfully like my DH's symptoms last year. He went through all sorts of mis-diagnosis' and tests and it turned out to be IBS (irritable bowel syndrom). There is no growth or cyst or anything physical that showed up on any of the scans they did, but there was no denying the pain he was in. Once he was diagnosed with IBS, the doc told him that certain foods will trigger it, but the trigger foods differ from person to person, so it's basically just a matter of trying foods and seeing which ones lead to the pain, and then avoiding those foods in the future. I do know that there are commercial meds out there to help with the pain & bloating issues, but he's stubborn and decided not to go back to the doc's to see what they are LOL!! I hope you figure out what is going on and how to fix it! Jessie awz_general <awz_general wrote: Hi dears, It's amazing to find a group that really helps people in avoiding many troubles in life. Guest guest
well i can't give you an answer as i don't know the answer either.. but i have very many of the same problems as you, though it sounds like i'm a couple of steps behind you.. i get niggling pain sometimes under my rib, but its very minor and doesn't seem connected to when i eat.. i have a feeling of being blocked up, but seem to be passing everything ok.. (i started a topic something along the lines of 'ongoing nausea lasting months or something' where i explain all my symptoms.. people are so good in answering *happy*).. so it does sound like you and me are in a similar boat, if not the same boat... don't know about you, but i am SO glad to not be the only one with weird stomach symptoms. and the chest aches... allison. , " awz_general " <awz_general wrote: > > Hi dears, > > It's amazing to find a group that really helps people in avoiding > many troubles in life. Guest guest
Hello Ahmad, Welcome to the group! I am fairly new to the group as well but I love it! There is a lot of great advice on natural remedies. Hopefully this can help you. I have found that fruits such as Acai, Pomegranate, Cranberry, Grapes, and Wolfberry help with digestion. Plants carry with them their own enzymes. This helps the body readily make these nutrients available and allows other body enzymes to work elsewhere. Plant nutrients (phenols) are anti ulcer, anti acid reflux, and help the whole digestion, absorption, and waste elimination process. Thats the science behind it. I know of a great natural product that has all of those fruits and it helped my uncle. If you would like more info about it you can e-mail directly or visit: www.TheGreatProduct.com/OC -- In , " awz_general " <awz_general wrote: > > Hi dears, > > It's amazing to find a group that really helps people in avoiding > many troubles in life. Guest guest
Hi, Salmon fried fish help. Try that thrice in a week. Omega-3 capsules might help. You may have inflamation in your stomach. It is called gastritis. Did you have endoscopy? Do not use mortin and asprin or any NSAIDs. Thanks, -syed awz_general <awz_general wrote: Hi dears, It's amazing to find a group that really helps people in avoiding many troubles in life. Guest guest
Hi, I too have severe stomach problems that sound just like yours. After many tests they have concluded that I have Crohn's disease. I also have gastro paresis. Have you ever been tested for any of these? You should also seek a second opinion if you haven't already. Best of luck to you, I know your pain. Donna , " awz_general " <awz_general wrote: > > Hi dears, > > It's amazing to find a group that really helps people in avoiding > many troubles in life.
