Guest guest
-just wanted to add to the attention defecit disorder discussion. I do chemical research for a large pharmaceutical company and we have been researching the effects of fish oil and children with add. While research is ongoing, I can tell you it does seem to be of substantial benefit. Of course, consult with your pediatrician before incorporating it to your child's diet. Fish oil can be a healthy alternative to ritalin and the best part is there is no evidence of any harmful side effects associated with natural fish oil supplements. Good luck and good health! , Debra Martin <mycodismodis wrote: > > Could you give me more information on this study. My son suffers from add and it robs him of the normal child hood. He has trouble with medicines. We have tried several different ones and it made him ill. Guest guest
There was a study done in England some years ago about this. I loaned the article out and never got it back so I can't provide details except for that the article in Alive magazine about it was entitled Attention Deficit or EFA Deficiency? The results with EFA's were quite remarkable. We are all depleted of these! My friend has a SCIO and she has never seen anyone who had enough in their body. Her suggestion is to take triple the recommended amount for 2-3 months just to fill up on them. Carlson's is clean and safe and doesn't require a doctor's permission. Doctor's know very little about nutrition and food. Other things that also work are removing heavy metals from the body, removing all artificial chemicals from the diet and skin care products and household cleaners and asking the school to do the same in your child's classroom. There's no need to disinfect the floor unless one is eating from them. There are far too many chemicals in use. We virutally never get sick and we don't use any toxic cleaners. Hot water works wonders! Avoid sugar, dairy, white flour and use as many organic foods as you can. They have about 6 times the nutrients of conventionally grown foods so are worth the extra money. If need be take the child on a mini-vaction where his junk food isn't available like camping (somewhere where there's no vending machines!) to get him used to the diet. This can work very quickly and is worth the hassle. Most parents end up giving in because it is easier. Believe me, I've been one of them! Magnetic energy helps many kids. Insoles and/or a necklace will balance energy without any thought or effort on their part. Reishi, particularily the younger version is packed with amino acids and has helped to rid ADD in many people. This is not a cure but something that needs to be done regularily. Hope this can help someone here! Sharon , " Jacqueline " <gottabjv wrote: > > -just wanted to add to the attention defecit disorder discussion.
